doop doop chris is on video. For you newcomers, she looks like this, and yes, the robot arms and eyes are real. Also, she has a very annoying voice.
She takes a cold drink of tap water before she starts talking]
I have some important info I've discovered... that's part of why I've been MIA lately. Turns out having a for real full time job is hard. I... actually quit teaching. Sorry I didn't let you college kids know, but, eh, knowing my reputation that's probably a relief. In any case, the pay at this tech firm is way better, so even if I drop down to part time so I can finish classes I'll be making a lot more money.
That's not the point, though. The point is that the company I work for now, Integrated Avionic Solutions, has a contract with Thunder Corp. I hadn't known about it till recently, but I applied to get transferred to that team since they were working on avionics systems, and that's my specialty. Which... was weird. And kind of upsetting since they first put me under an NDA, which, whatever, fuck you guys, I don't think the NSA can crack THIS network. ...
[
She looks around briefly, then pops the battery out of her phone.]
Wow I hope the government hasn't bugged my shitty apartment. ANYWAY. The point is, the software they were having me work on was more for military aircraft. And not just drones, either, we were talking about pilot control inputs.
So I did some more investigation and eventually managed to figure out that... Thunder Corporation is manufacturing military aircraft. Like, serious business military aircraft. They're nice machines, too...
[
for a moment, she sounds a little wistful]
But no no, the point here is that these things are war machines. Killing machines. Look, I snagged a few photos.
[
pause]
Also wow hey having money is super nice because I can rig up shit like this!
[
She actually just pulls the photos up on the screen with a gesture -- she's rigged up some very simple gesture sensing-device that works automatically with whatever software she's using for streaming. In fact, it's probably a heavily modified Kinekt.
That's cool! But what she pulls up is not. It's a heavily fortified manufacturing facility with, just as she said, REALLY nice military aircraft.]
I did my best to sabotage them. I didn't want to get caught, so there wasn't much I could do, but for the moment I've introduced some problems into the software that will cause the machines to fail to take off, and the weapons to fail to fire. I did a little physical tinkering too, mostly just putting in the wrong wires. Mainly I was making sure the things can't get into the air and can't fire their weapons, since I have no idea if they're going to put civilian pilots in these or not.
[
big sigh]
This shit is crazy. Military aircraft. Anyway, does anyone else have any intel on this, any idea what's going ha ha ffff fff tee hee
What the haa hoo ha ha ffffffffffffffffff
[
Whoops, drank the tap water. She's giggling like crazy now.]
Shitting jesus, is there ha ahfasjdj something in the pfffft water? Oh my god they've haha drugged...
[
her eyes go really wide suddenly -- the pupils and irises expand way, way, way past what a human's should do, turning them almost totally bright red. She's still laughing, but it's pretty clear she's totally checked out]
I told... I told that fool not to go any closer! That slagging
glitchhead, why didn't he listen to me!
[
She blinks a few times, but she's visibly very upset and shaking -- all the while also still laughing. ha ha wow giggle water sure is funny]
I uh. I'm swi--fff oh god I'm upset about flashbacks about space robots, christ -- I'm ffff
SWITCHING TO TEXT NOW.
[
She cuts the video and will be replying in text, because gigglewater & upsetting memories = not really conducive to verbal communication]
