For those of you who are new or unfamiliar, my name is Naomi Kaufman and I work down at the forensics lab. This is a list of people who are interested in conducting research or investigation regarding echoes and phenomena related to the current mysteries of our situation, e.g., nonhuman physiology gained through echoes or the nature of the mysterious buzzing currently plaguing those on the network, or those who can volunteer themselves or other subjects of study.

Further comments:

1. This is purely for informational purposes. I'm not going to recommend somebody for everybody; if you want a subject to look into to or someone to look at you/something you have, you'll have to do the work yourself.

2. This list might be better hosted elsewhere, in the event that I myself lose my memory of what's going on. I'm not well-versed in computer security, however, so that would require the cooperation of others who are.

3. Obviously this list is limited in scope. There's been discussion on compiling data about echoes, things we each remember or have, and anything else that could be used to make sense of echoes and their relationship to what's going on now. Any thoughts about this idea and how to handle it - format, procedures, anything - would be great.




Bad news about the police investigations about the bombings that went on a while ago: there's nothing to be found.

It's strange, but that's what's happened. There has been no evidence as to what caused them. No fragments, no residue, no radiation, nothing even from the fires that broke out. It's mystifying.

Scientifically this should all be downright impossible, but given the nature of events in this city I suspect that something else is cause for the lack of evidence - paranoid as that may sound. And what that ultimately means, I don't yet know.



Does anybody recognize the moniker of "Raging Bomber"? I don't believe it's directly relevant to anything going on now, but this is the single echo I've received that hasn't been uselessly vague and I'd like to find out if anybody finds it familiar.

Actually, there's a privately hosted spreadsheet that serves as a pulsing echo data compilation.

Here it is; it's privately hosted and mirrored by myself and one other person to prevent leaks. The original intent was to be anonymous, of course, but if people want to attach their names to this I see no reason to stop them.

Oh, and on if you need a computer science expert, you can list me as "Jacqli".

Would it be possible to expand that spreadsheet? Taking into account triggers, possibly a forum for discussion to provide greater context, etc. Anonymous data doesn't seem like a bad idea, though; less reason to fear discussing what you've gotten.

Also, would it be possible to host this listing I've started as well? I'd rather the maintenance be available to everyone, rather than hinging on a single person.

Anyway, I'm going to take a closer look at Rachel's backyard and see if there's any residue left over from the monster attack. I heard you investigated the water and didn't find anything, but maybe (like Danny said) the poison the monster was leaking is more concentrated.

Really? Great. I'd love to get a look at that. There was indeed limited success in examining the compound in the water, but it did yield some potential information. With any luck a better sample might yield more.

I did consider the possibility of a team, but that seems rather ambitious right now. Someone else would have to take the lead in that case; I have my hands full enough at the moment.

hi im chris and up until recently i was getting a PHD in avionics specializing in drones, notably designing and programming their flight control systems and collision avoidance systems. when i was an undergrad i was focused kind of more on engineering the physical systems but then switched over to programming drone AI because there's more money in it

in addition since... echoes and stuff, i know these things:

> astronomy and astrophysics (for... interstellar navigation. which is so useful. i can tell you the best time to get to mars now i guess)

Did Homeland Security or the FBI or whatever get involved in investigating at all?

Not that I know of. It's not implausible that they haven't; however standard protocol does require that the investigating agency submits records to certain databases, and given the circumstances of this case I have doubts as to whether that actually happened.

That depends on what you mean by collecting information. I'm looking at a few tests related to echoes and things going on in the city, but making sense of individual ones won't be of much use unless many people contribute.
