❄ 001: staff paper: handwritten text

[The handwriting is fine, neat, and flowing, a practiced hand, remarkably consistent. Someone used to writing a lot. It seems as if the post is written on blank music sheets, the letters following the lines of the staff. The numbers are written first, then the same numbers translated into musical notes. Then the writing begins.]

It seems like everyone on the network has got these numbers in their heads, right? And there's all these strange things in the news but what I want to know is

Has anybody had, well, voices? In their heads?

I know it sounds crazy, but I guess if it is we've got good reason for it, huh?

i'm not too sure if they had. i know i got a song first and some dreams but maybe that's not the same thing.

i wouldn't worry about the crazy stuff; at least you aren't claiming to be otherkin or wanting people to wear spandex.

i don't usually have them form completely in my head with as a duet. that usually takes a little more work with finding the right voice and such.

that's when you think that you are not human and are only wearing a people suit.

Voices?

You wouldn't happen to mean, say. Singing voices, would you? A certain fellow I know and I have each had an entire song just come to us, and I'm sure you can imagine I don't exactly get to listen to much music...

She doesn't sing. She talks about dancing, but not singing, not yet anyway.

People have gotten objects, knowledge of new languages, skills, mechanical limbs...that's not too far-fetched.

I guess the real question is, does what they're saying make any sense?

It's just the one voice, and it sometimes makes sense. Snow and ice, dancing and so forth. Sometimes it doesn't. Make any sense to me, I mean.

Just the one. Mostly quiet, but very much there. Running commentary in one's head that sounds distinctly different from one's own thoughts.
