charcoalfeather: (Is that heaven?)

[The network comes to life and focuses on a young woman. She appears to be dressed in a pair of simple pajama clothes and is sitting near a window where the night sky and stars are visible. Snow is lightly falling, and frost clings to the window. If she's cold, the girl doesn't seem to show it.

The screen is somewhere below her, and she is looking down at it nonchalantly for the moment. But soon, the moment passes, and her eyes slowly widen until they're as open as they can go. Then, the screen suddenly, and violently changes, as the girl pushes away from it and scrambles away.

For a brief moment, the screen moves to fast to make out and then falls on the window, the moon hanging full in the sky. It's only for a moment though, as it is picked up once again and turned until it shows the girl's face. She looks shocked to put it lightly.]

I... I can't believe this. ...What the hell is...

...Maybe they were right....[Her face drops briefly and she frowns. Then she perks up again, brushing some short, brown hair from her face.] No, that's stupid. This must be something else at work here.

[Hesitantly, she poked at the screen. Her book was showing her this.]

Hello? Who's doing this? This isn't funny.

About the "sniffer dogs". I understood that there seems to be no way to hide ourselves from them. But is there a way to make it so everyone in this city smells like they have a number? That should have the same effect. With so many bright heads and unique abilities in here [Totally not meant as a mocking description. Nope.], I'm sure a feat like that should be possible.

Also. I have too much time right now. [Because what are exams. She's going to drop out of school in two months since there is no way that she could graduate successfully anyway with how much school she has missed over the years. No reason to bother with studying for them. That provides her with a lot of free time. Which, altruistic do-gooder that she is, will of course be dedicated to the greater good of the network.

That is of course bs (you are absolutely free to not buy it if you know her well enough). She's only interested in encountering the person that she technically killed in person on her own terms, in a way that won't raise suspicions, and sadly that requires some larger scheming (ugh). Always in the hope that she won't be recognized... but if she is recognized, then it would at least be in a situation that she would somewhat be in control of. Provoking a meeting rather than it happening at a bad time.

Doesn't mean she won't present it as being an altruistic thing. At least somewhat.]
Since I have a monthly ticket for public transportation, I could run errands for people in the safe-house, or those otherwise unable to leave their houses and go around town. Obviously I cannot do courier work for luggage that is larger than what one person could reasonably transport.

Also if you're trying to make me carry something illegal around, you should better reconsider and not even try. I've had my share of planted issues with the police for a good long while.

[Also action, over the course of the next few days.]

[Blaine will be dropping by the safe-house during the afternoons, for whatever reason the mun hopes that something will crop up okay so this is also an action post for encounters there, or encounters somewhere else in the city if some stay-at-homie commissions her services. She will quietly hate you forever wow this was not supposed to be more work than necessary, she only added that option to be inconspicuous - but she'll do the thing anyway because a. she doesn't want to blow her cover and b. something useful might come out of it. She's still working on making people indebted to her in case network-freakiness makes her need help friends.

For those in the safe-house, you can either see her come in carrying whatever, a bag or a box or a backpack, and approach her, or she can approach you and ask if someone is there.]

[The video isn't focused on Killian's face right away, just his lap. There's a bow (like the ones you shoot) sitting in it, and he's playing with it for a few minutes before he finally turns the video up to his face. It's only focusing on his profile but he still looks like shit.

About like he's been crying, actually. When he speaks he sounds like he's been crying, too]

There...um. The clinic--

[It's really hard to speak. He tries again]

My...mom and I were in the DD earlier and she...she got shot by the Blood Keys. I got her to LSR but she...

[He can't say it, clenching his eyes shut and taking a few moments to recover before continuing]

Um. Yeah. So if...if I'm not, uh, around then...that's. That's why. To help pay...you know, all that stuff, I'm--I got a pulse a bit ago and I can make really fancy jewelery now. [He reaches over and grabs a sample, holding it up to the camera while not looking at it. It's made from the stuff you get at a craft store but it's pretty intricate.] If...anyone wants one, or a bracelet or something, I can make one.

[He hesitates a little longer before reaching over to cut the video]
