[ Ah yes, come one, come all! As per the plotting, let's just say Ryan put out a message that went something like this:

Hey everyone! I was wondering how many of us are stuck here in Locke for the holidays. I'm used to parties and celebrating with friends, so I figured, why not do that anyway! It'll be a Network-only thing, so don't be shy. And if you wanna help, just let me know!

And thus your character finds themselves here, a part of christmas cheer and echoes, surrounded by free food and tinsel and even Mistletoe... The Christmas party! And by Christmas I mean Santa and reindeer and all that lame stuff. ]

[ Join in the decorating if your character is into that! Assuming the party starts at around noonish, let's say this is happening a few hours before. Ryan is decked out in his lamest Christmas sweater, looking very armor-y, as usual, but he's all smiles and glowing eyes (literally). ]

[ Octavia is super thrilled to be out and about, goddamn. This is directly translating into the way she's decorating - she's flying around the ceiling hanging up lights and mistletoe and leaving sparkly blue fairy trails in the air. It's pretty ridiculous.

If you stop moving for more than eight seconds, she's probably going to drop tinsel on you as she swoops past. Fair warning. ]

or at least, she was. right now, she's watching octavia with something akin to amazement. to think, just a few days ago all of this would have been a bad fairytale or dream. (she's not quite sure yet she's even passed that point yet.) after a moment's pause, she calls up to the other girl- ]

okay, that's a bit of an exaggeration. she's been to christmas parties before - mainly school-sponsored things, and some with her dad, of course - she's no stranger to the delights of dishes filled with delectable diet and drink. but every time she sees such a noble sight, it still inspires her to new heights. so she has risen to the occasion magnificently, holding a party cup of punch (non-alcoholic, of course) and a plate stacked to the brim with pretty much every type of food she could fit.

she does not seem to be ashamed of this in the slightest. in fact, judging by her awestruck expression, she's kind of proud. ]

[Kara is technically one year shy of legally being able to drink; the drinking age in Ukraine, however, is eighteen, and drinking ages were not something she considered checking in her excitement to move. and so she's happily hovering around the liquor table, pouring herself a tremendous amount of vodka from one of the various bottles of Nemiroff she's placed on it from a shopping bag. it seemed rude to arrive to a party without gifts, after all.

there's also what seems to be a half-eaten plate belonging to her set aside for the moment as she prepares her drink, although the implication of this monstrosity having held even more food is a bit nauseating. still, Kara seems very cheerful, and will offer to grab refreshments for anyone who appears interested. it's a fun night.]

[ This dude is leaning against a wall somewhere far away from the mistletoe with some manner of alcoholic drink. It's definitely something bitter though, because you are what you eat. [Maggie was busy finding a place and setting the food she had brought: some empanadas and flan. After seeing the announcement she had debated for a long time on whether to come. The Numbers Club had proved to be genuine but she was still a little afraid of putting herself out there.

In the end curiosity, her innate friendliness and the knowledge that she was involved in the debacle whether she wanted to be or not had made her decide to come. Of course she had dragged her neighbor, not wanting to be in on this alone, but so far it almost seemed like a regular party.

[ Well, it's been a pretty rough week for Walter and it was hard to get out of the house, but he's here, and the celebratory mood is lifting his spirits a little. His blue headband has been swapped out for a green one, since it's an effortless way to make his whole head festive, and he's brought some cornflake wreaths to share.

After setting those up, he starts building a plate for himself. His appetite isn't the best, but everything looks so good. He has to sample a tiny bit of everything. ]

[Reimu is there. Even though her Grandma actually showed up unexpectedly, she still decided to go if only to get out of the house for a bit. She's actually wearing half way decent clothes too, though she usually wears some red and white in her normal outfits so her current a coincidence rather than due to any festive spirit on her part. She doesn't normally celebrate Christmas herself after all.

Also, because there was alcohol, even if she wasn't supposed to be drinking it. She may or may not have spiked her own drink when no one was looking too.]

[watch out, fellow partygoers: Kara is the kind of person who will cheerfully run everyone down to say hello at a party regardless of whether she knows them or not. she's simply so excited about the holiday season and the chance to celebrate one of her Christmases with others in person, and it's almost palpable.

fellow partiers will also notice she's in a rather interesting outfit, minus the crown and arm guards which seemed too weird for the event. it's a bizarre thing to receive as an Echo, and Kara figures this is likely one of the few opportunities to have to actually get some use out of it so she might as well. it's rude to not use a present, after all.]

[Long story short: the Dians distracted Mrs. Harvent with some of their favorite DVDs to insult and snuck out of the house.

Which means Christmas Day is actually going to be more miserable than usual. But looking around at their friends, hell, their real family, they consider it completely worth it.

Giddy as can be, they happily talk to anyone that comes close to them. They're also dressed in their recent echoes. Miria is pulling off a great Santa Claus outfit. Isaac doesn't look too shabby as a pumpkin head either.

She's not shy to approach people, a bright smile on her face, even though there's a drink in her hand and a little redness on her cheeks that might hint towards the Christmas cheer that's encouraging her.
