Who: Network folks who are in Locke for Xmas
Where: A community center (let's say it's the same one from the first aid thing)
When: Backdated to December 23
What: Christmas/Holiday Party!
Warnings: Shenanigans? Kissing?

[ Ah yes, come one, come all! As per the plotting, let's just say Ryan put out a message that went something like this:

Hey everyone! I was wondering how many of us are stuck here in Locke for the holidays. I'm used to parties and celebrating with friends, so I figured, why not do that anyway! It'll be a Network-only thing, so don't be shy. And if you wanna help, just let me know!

And thus your character finds themselves here, a part of christmas cheer and echoes, surrounded by free food and tinsel and even Mistletoe... The Christmas party! And by Christmas I mean Santa and reindeer and all that lame stuff. ]

[ Feel free to start your own top-level comments I mean seriously, if you need an excuse for dumb shenanigans this is it. ]

It is highly possible! The universe is so vast and there are so many varied planets which have developed throughout it that it would be incredibly surprising if only a few forms of life existed.

[she's hoping to catch them all like a Pokemon trainer. if Pokemon trainers took detailed notes like hyperactive birdwatchers.]

Outside of this whole Numbers thing, how much research has actually gone into that? I've heard things of whether life is or isn't possible on other planets but I've never actually sat down and read any legitimate, academic articles on it.

[Kara seemed to know what she was talking about, and her enthusiasm on the subject made her appear to be a good person to ask about such things]

There is quite a bit of interest in the subject outside of the conspiracy leaflets, actually! It is important not only for our own knowledge of the universe but in our pursuit for possible planets to relocate to in the far future.

[the possibility of life isn't Kara's main focus in school, but she's so heavily into space as a whole that she's digested an impressive amount of literature on the subject anyway]

There have been several planets found which may be good candidates for supporting life of some sort, but it is understandably difficult to check from so far away. Still, it is a very exciting field!
