let the bodies hit the floor
Who: Everyone joining the mafia attack
What: Attack on the mafia meeting
When: Monday night, December 8th
Where: mafia building
An hour before the meeting, everyone who wants to make a stand against the mafia - violent and potentially ill advised though it might be - gathers in a nearby location to make final plans. Nick’s original idea of Xander moving a small number of people through shadows into the meeting to take out Albero is still technically in effect, but only for those who are planning on gunning straight for the mafia boss himself. Or those who want to help take him out specifically, even if not to deliver the final blow themselves.
Thorir’s provided weapons from his shop, for any network members who know how to use them. L’d agreed to handle the coordination of getting everyone in the building to take out as many of the mafia members as they could, and to hopefully confine the chaos inside.
Because once they’re in and fighting, it’s… probably going to be at least a little chaos.
But hopefully, by the end of the night, it’ll at least be done.
[OOC: Linking one more time to the plotting post in case anyone needs it as the log goes on! I’ll post up a thread for those gunning for Albero so the mods can NPC him as needed, otherwise feel free to start your own threads to battle mafia goons!]

open to anyone going after Albero
But that doesn’t matter now. All that matters is getting to Albero, and getting rid of him for good. Nick’s… kind of disguised himself, but the end result is him looking a little like Dread Pirate Roberts, sword and all. Well, sword plus two guns and a leather whip.
Between L’s recon and Nick’s info, they know roughly where Albero should be, but he doubts that’ll stay that way for long. Still, he’d asked Xander ahead of time to shadow Nick over to Albero first, when the time comes. He’s not sure how many people would be willing to take the killing blow on him, but… Nick’s already prepared for it.
Well, except for the guy who’d requested a katana, anyway.
But Nick’s focus right now is on getting to Albero, and taking down whoever stands in his way.

He certainly doesn't appear worried at all.

All he needed was to be pointed in the right direction by Nick when he spotted Albero before moving in to action.

special (N)PC attack - OPEN!
If anyone ever wondered about the sudden inexplicable silence from the network's resident Blood Key double agent over the past few months, those questions are now answered. Something is very, very wrong though. His eyes glow a bright blue, with blue lines glowing under his skin and through his clothes. He is covered in metal plating and both of his arms are turned into his giant trademark orange robotic fists. A metallic whining noise emits from somewhere in his body and he shakes and sways slightly as his body strains to cope with the robotics and other modifications.
Regardless of whatever is wrong with him, though, he doesn't look as if he's planning to let any of the numbered through.]
come at me with your should-be-fatal attacks, bro
And then he spots Chuck. He'd never really talked much to the guy, but he recognized him from the network. Double agent? Triple agent? Guy doesn't look like he's in good shape. Needs to be taken down. Hajime won't go so far as to put him out of his misery, but he'll try his hardest to beat Chuck into unconsciousness. Besides, that looks like a strong opponent...and the instincts of the Joker Undead drive Hajime to want to fight the strongest. There's an animalistic bellow of challenge as the big bug monster lunges for Chuck.]

Willow Ridge Surveillance Center- Mission Control Thread, OPEN
This is the next best thing. He could argue that it's still vitally important, just not as satisfying, but he's giving it his all in the surveillance center. There's a lot he can't do from a distance, but he can survey, keep an eye on the news, contact outside help if the need arises (though everyone seems to consider this a last resort), and he has the recordings, delivered to him by Nick, ready to be sent to several news outlets the moment the raid begins. Energy Up first; they gave him the time of day to say his piece a week ago, and they've earned the first scoop, but other outlets will get their hands on the incriminating recordings shortly after.
Maybe you're on the scene and providing an update through text, audio or video. Maybe, like L, your talents are better suited to contributing this way. But big changes are going down in Locke City today, and even the Numberedd who can't be there in person deserve to have a front row view of Albero's well deserved downfall.

Elian's not much for technology, but if there's such a position as 'moral support', he's made to take it. His morals certainly keep him from taking a more...direct...involvement, but his greatsword remains slung and ready across his back.
As does the mental path to another part of the building, should he need a break from it all.

Recon of the area was the name of the game, and Rakka had just reached the outskirts of the fight, her rocket boots sputtering enough to make the landing rocky. She keeps going though, and readily pulls out her phone and switches to video.
She also had her magic staff with her, in case of dire emergencies.

And more importantly, there's someone out in that chaos she needs to keep an eye on.
So she just stands back in a shadowed corner, arms crossed, but wearing Junketsu and keeping her sheathed katana nearby. She stands and glares at everyone, her disapproval somehow very loud even as she remains quiet.

OTA - Collateral City Defense
So even if the ones attacking are successful, there's no promise more chaos won't spill out into the city itself. That's something that can't happen, and... if they can do anything, they can make sure there's not anymore unnecessary bloodshed or people caught in the crossfire.
So, it's for that reason Cure Moonlight currently stands atop a building. She's not close enough to see what's happening at the target location, but... is at least close enough to see if anything bad comes barreling their way, or in the direction of anything that would need to be defended.
Its the first time she's been in Locke City since that night with Raye and Winter, and... the thought churns her stomach. But she tries to keep it down for now - she'd promised herself, promised Winter and Jasmine after that she'd be stronger than that from now on.
She was going to keep her promise, no matter how worried she was about friends engaging in who knows what right now in that building.
[OOC - This thread will be utilized for some rather massive chaos splitting off from the actual mafia attack, and will not directly be hitting them. Primarily this is for things forthcoming with Raye (

Then the first one actually attacked him with a club, rather than merely tripping over him, and then things got messy. Lyall reacted on instinct-- wolf instinct, not man instinct-- and then all of it went out the window. He snarled, knocking his attacker over and biting down hard, enough to ruin a throat and end a life. And from then on out, it was anyone who got in his way who happened to look threatening, weak, or who ran away. ... so, basically, everyone. There wasn't much left in his head of the man, just the wolf.
((feel free to hit him before or after he loses it! he'll hold it together for enough for some threads, at least :) ))

It takes him a little bit, maybe, but eventually registers that the snarls and growls that have been a constant backdrop to his enhanced hearing have changed, some how. He can't quite figure out how, but it pulls something in him, a low prickle on the back of his neck that by now he's come to recognize as his instincts telling him that something's wrong.
Which is more than enough to pull his attention from the man he's fighting, to duck away and seek out Lyall. When he spots him - and the level of violence that he's using, almost indescriminately - it's definitely obvious that something's up. And considering he's seen Lyall like this in wolf form before, he has a suspicion that he knows what it is, even if he doesn't quite want to admit it at the moment.
Without thinking twice, Nick abandons the fight to get to Albero, and instead fights his way to the wolf that's tearing through the crowds, planting himself firmly in Lyall's line of sight.

Open to both action and mission control chatter.
Chaos has already exploded in her wake, leaving trails of smashed rubble and scattered mafia enforcers behind as she plows through the ranks assembled outside, angry light shining from her Kamui even as it huffs out heavy clouds of steam. She's fighting reckless even more so than usual, not even paying any mind to protecting herself as a steady stream of bullets spark and bounce off of her.
Finally, after sending another trio of gunmen flying with a powerful swing of her Scissor Blade she finally slows, slumping a little and leaning on the weapon as she pants heavily for breath.
"This isn't good." Senketsu speaks up, taking advantage of the lull in the racket. "As I suspected, your body still hasn't fully recovered from your injuries. This transformation is putting too much strain on you."
"Don't bother trying to get me to quit." Raye huffs, ignoring that her one-sided conversation is likely being picked up by the earpiece she was all but ordered to wear. "Just do whatever you have to to keep me up."
"I am, but if you continue to fight I can't say for certain what might happen."
"Shut the hell up. This is my shot and I'm takin' it."
Senketsu's next protest is cut off by another hail of gunfire slamming into Raye's back, causing the girl to grunt and stumble forward before hurling a vicious glare at the ones shooting at her.
"Motherfuckers." Angry light blazes from her again, steam blasts from her body and Senketsu flinches, strain showing clearly in his eye.... "Get the fuck out of my way!"
Ripping the Scissor from the ground, she gives another scream of raw anger and dives back in, swinging the weapon one-handed and sending up another explosion of dust and debris....
[Audio]
As does the fact that she is talking to herself.]
Raye? Are you all right? I worry you're not pacing yourself enough to sustain what you're putting into this fight...

Keeping Albero's reinforcements at bay
Thorir is not alone; someone who right now is not only leaner than him but hals 4/3rds as tall as him is at his side, or rather has his back. Hjalti might have changed back to being fully human after losing his echoes, and Thorir is suspiciously more worried about his brother getting hurt than himself getting hit by something, but all in all both brothers know how to fight, and are well armed.
For the most part, they're trying to disable them from continuing to fight instead of kill, but some alterations make that really hard...]
