Liam has already offered athelas, and I would advise the same, but a little more wearily. He means well, but he's under the impression that if something is natural it comes with no side effects. We haven't observed any immediate ones, but I'm not sure about long term. I did a couple of tests at work and nothing obvious sprang up, but I still wouldn't use it too often, just because it's best not to get reliant on something. I'm not sure if it's addictive or not or whether the circumstances have made a few of us too reliant on it, but I suppose something about it just strikes me as too good to be true.
That said, it certainly works, and as I said there's no immediate side effects, so you certainly shouldn't worry about using it in moderation. If you want a cutting, I can give you one. It appears to be some sort of weed, it grows well enough in good soil and sunlight. It's good in tea, or you can leave the leaves stewing and the scent by itself is calming.
Thank you for the information and expressing your concerns regarding this 'athelas' herb.
As much as I would take you up on your offer, I'm uncertain that it might not even work for me. I'm not exactly human any more and my body might react poorly to it.
Neither are we. We have elves and dwarves - and what ever Julien is, he can probably explain it better than I.
If you don't want to try it I can advise hops or valerian, but the latter in moderation. If you don't mind me asking, what medication have you tried? I'm not a doctor, but I do have a phd in the medical use of plants.

I could try reading you a bedtime story if you want?
I'm not coming over to tuck you in though, you'll have to get someone else to do that.

I'll say get a second job if you're going to end up staying up anyway.

It would help out with the rent, but I'm a little worried that some people might get suspicious.
