PLOT: Refined Shell battle!

What: Crustacean commotion. CRAB BATTLE.

Where: Las Vegas, flooded area and surroundings

[ At eleven AM, a pulsing shockwave resonates throughout Las Vegas. Seemingly coming from somewhere deep underground, the ripple of force doesn't last long - but that doesn't mean that it isn't strong enough to make any nearby reincarnates stumble or fall.

The quake that happens soon afterwards is much stronger. Unlike the last, it seems to rumble on and on... until it reaches its crescendo with the emergence of a monstrous pink crabster from beneath the recently-flooded area of the city. A miniature tsunami accompanies the 300-foot behemoth, further damaging the surroundings not already levelled by the flooding and the quakes.

It doesn't take long for Refined Shell to get its bearings and begin its rampage. Everything within range can expect to be swiped at, stamped on or crushed between its pincers in its mindless rage.

You might say it seems to be feeling a touch... crabby. ]

[Okay. Flying. He really shouldn't be surprised by now.]

Okay, well, I don't really know any first aid... think we should bind the leg and keep the kid awake? Like in the movies?

I know first aid, but it's not as if we can do any of that right here. We need to get to the surface, to disaster relief...

[the young man gives a groan of pain, while the woman repeats the same phrase over and over, clearly shaken by what's happened to her]

[Liam turns to the woman, and tries to calm her down with a few hopefully reassuring words. He turns back to his fellow numbered.]

Well, if we move her won't we hurt the leg? I think we should...um....

[Liam looks around and grabs a fallen copper pipe, then starts ripping his organic bamboo fabric shirt into strips on the bottom.]

Better than nothing, yeah? Help me set this up, we can get somebody who knows what they're doing to look at her up there, but I don't want to hurt her more.

[Fuyuka was about to protest... when Liam's idea turned out to be rather sound. She nodded to him]

Very resourceful. I believe I can carry her safely, at least. The man is able to walk, so I think we can make do with supporting him till we get to the surface...

[Liam nods, and begins hesitantly binding the woman's leg. He might not have formal first aid training, but he wasn't dumb all the time. Not when it came to the important stuff.]

Sounds like a plan. If he's got a concussion they movies all say you have to keep them awake so... that is probably something we should do..

Indeed. [Fuyuka nods, and she walks forward]

Let me know when I can start moving her.

[He looks nervous at that.]

You know I have no idea what I'm doing, right?

[The women who he's helping doesn't seem too happy about that comment. He finishes binding her leg in the best way he knows how.]'

I just mean I'm not a professional or anything, so... I guess now?

I'm a detective. I only have rudimentary training in disaster relief and first aid.

[she moves to put her hand on Liam's shoulder]

All you have to do is walk with him. You've shown yourself to be resourceful. You'll do fine.

Detective, huh? That's cool...

[It's not often Liam gets told he's doing something right, so there's a slight smile on his face as he stands and starts helping the kid walk steady.]

How far is it to where we can get them some help? Are there medics around yet?

I'm not sure, but in any case, getting them to the surface instead of leaving them down here is a better decision, yes?

[From there Liam gives the youth some encouraging words and starts working on getting him out of the hole.]
