PLOT: Refined Shell battle!

What: Crustacean commotion. CRAB BATTLE.
When: 26th September, daytime
Where: Las Vegas, flooded area and surroundings

[ At eleven AM, a pulsing shockwave resonates throughout Las Vegas. Seemingly coming from somewhere deep underground, the ripple of force doesn't last long - but that doesn't mean that it isn't strong enough to make any nearby reincarnates stumble or fall.

The quake that happens soon afterwards is much stronger. Unlike the last, it seems to rumble on and on... until it reaches its crescendo with the emergence of a monstrous pink crabster from beneath the recently-flooded area of the city. A miniature tsunami accompanies the 300-foot behemoth, further damaging the surroundings not already levelled by the flooding and the quakes.

It doesn't take long for Refined Shell to get its bearings and begin its rampage. Everything within range can expect to be swiped at, stamped on or crushed between its pincers in its mindless rage.

You might say it seems to be feeling a touch... crabby. ]

[It's good that Emilia seems to understand what Saretha is getting at, because she doesn't respond to the question - she has little time for arguing at the moment. With her bolstered strength, she can crack that shell a bit, but... It's largely a hit and run tactic at the moment. Currently: In its running phase, as she suddenly runs out of rooftops ahead of her. And the creature just crushed the rooftop behind her. Any advantage height gives her is about to end for a moment, so if you've got a way to help, now would be the time.]

[Well, that's not good... Saretha may be a jerk, but she's still Numbered, and they all have to help each other. It's certainly a far cry from only caring about herself and her family. Sure, she'd still try to save Saretha if she could back when she first 'awakened' but in the end she would have left the battlefield.

Looks like someone needs an airlift... so quickly, she lands beside her, offering her free arm.]

I get the feeling you need a lift.

[purestambition]

[Saretha takes the arm without hesitation, looking skyward.] Good. Take me as high as you can go!

[She's not going to mince words here, nor is she going to consider the fact that in one night several weeks back they were on both opposite ends of a conflict, and then the same side again within an instant. What matters here and now is this monster.]

Very well, hold tight!

[She won't need to tell Emi twice, as instantly she takes off into the air with her passenger effortlessly. Her superhuman strength's definitely coming in handy here...

She probably be able to reach 6500 meters in altitude, but until then she'll keep flying up until told to stop.]

[Saretha would give any number of things to be able to fly right here and now, but she'll take what she can get. She's just raised up in silence for a bit though, until finally:] High enough!

[Without so much as a thank you - she figures this is no time for platitudes - she swings off from Emilia, going straight into a dive down towards Refined Shell from a distance that is a great deal higher than a lot of buildings would have been were it not for the mountain.]

[She wasn't quite expecting her to do that, nor did she expect Saretha to survive, but she'd gone and swung off the second Emi stopped. In fact, it happened so quickly Emi couldn't react until Saretha was already plummeting down...]

Wait! What are you even...?

[As Saretha falls, blue willpower generated energy whips around her. She knows it will do nothing to Refined Shell, but what it does do is act as a buffer. Makes her space in the air wide, catches more air, and slows her down. She doesn't want to slow down too much, but just enough so she doesn't got splat against that shell... while still not sacrificing her extra momentum.

She leads the fall with her shoulder, and as she gets closer, the energy vanishes in a flash. Instead, Junketsu's shoulder armor morphs into a protruding drill... and with it spinning, she comes smashing right into the creature's back with it.]

[Okay, that was certainly impressive. Soon afterwards, Emilia begins her own dive, using her parasol to stop her from moving too fast all the way down.

This time, she leads with her feet, landing a powerful kick to the shell as she landed not too far from Saretha's point of impact...]

[Both blows preform their job admirably. Bits of the beast's shell begins to crack in multiple directions from the points they strike... only for it to react quite unfavorably, thrashing and bucking to throw them off.

Saretha's already escaping though, flipping back through the air.]

[Emilia has little choice but to take to the air herself or be thrown off of the back of the creature. Once in the air, though, the vampire looks for big enough holes in the shell she can hit using Gungnir...]

Good, looks like we can hurt it!
