Who: Characters in Locke, most pertinently the characters chosen for the takedown, and Geoff Benwick
When: May 31st, Saturday, around 4PM
Where: The streets of Locke City's urban areas
What: A car monster is on the loose in Locke, rampaging the streets, destroying property - and showing no further consideration for the citizens of the city.
Warnings: Violence, death.

[ OOC: For an overview, please see this plot post. Evan's player is organizing a failed takedown attempt here for anyone interested! Remember that there are two human casualties as a result of the car's rampage, including Network teenager Kaworu Nagisa.

The car monster is rampaging without concern for damage, either to itself or to anything around it, but it is avoiding damage that will take it out of action. Ramming property, causing car accidents, and leaving the road entirely to continue its race along the streets are all kosher. Geoff Benwick is in aerial pursuit, attempting to coordinate with reincarnates and law enforcement alike. ]

His eyes fluttered open at the sound of the familiar voice. Relieve washed over him, taking away the worry that he might had been abandoned away. Being in so much pain took his mind to uncomfortable places and he was glad that it was no longer the case. "I... I will..." He struggled to speak, his voice harsh from labored breathing.

"Thanks... I called for the ambulance." Gritting his teeth, he squinted his eyes shut when the pain multiply during the binding process. He knew it was unavoidable so he made no complain and endured it as best as he can. Thankfully, Xander was doing a good job and he wasn't subjected to anything worse while he fixed the splint.

"It's fine, thank you..." He slumped back against the wall once Xander was done, feeling extremely tired. "I hope the ambulance hurry..." Because he wasn't sure how long he could stay conscious at this point.

"You're welcome." He replies with before finishing up with the splint. "I hope so too. There's a chance that the car isn't in the area anymore and they won't be at risk."

It was wishful thinking as he makes a sling and gently puts Eugen's arm in to it. But, he would have to find a way to meet up with the car again if that was the case.

"Is it all right if I take off or do you want me to stick around until the ambulance comes?"

"I hope so..." Letting Xander put the sling on for him, he gave him a small smile with a nod. "I hope that car didn't get too many people..." Whether Numbered or not, no one deserved to be attacked by a rampaging car, especially... Which reminded him, "Did you saw the driver?" Eugen could had swore he didn't saw anyone behind the driver's wheel when he was looking back to see which bastard was driving so recklessly.

He hesitated for a short moment before answering, biting his lips a little in a nervous bout. "Could you stay?" While he normally won't mind being left alone, the pain was making his brain raked up unpleasant memory of being abandoned. Even knowing that logically it wasn't the case, it still left him feeling anxious and the pain was no help.

Xander doesn't reply to the comment about how many people have been harmed by the car. He's seen a lot of bodies, either alive or dead with several injuries. There were survivors, thankfully, rescued by another member of the network or himself.

At the question, he tries to think if he saw a driver and shakes his head. "No, I didn't see one."

Once he was done with the sling and hearing the request to stay, he pulls back and takes a seat next to Eugen. He lets out a small exhale and a grunt, finally giving his body a break.

"Sure. I'll stay." He answers with a nod.

So it was an inanimate monster once again. He suspected as much but he didn't had the time to give it much thought during the chase. But realizing that this was yet another incident related to the Numbered made him inexplicably uncomfortable. Just how many more of similar incidents will continue to take place?

At the sound of the grunt, he turned to Xander, finally realizing that his rescuer was also injured. "Are you okay?"

"You know... this is the second time you rescue me from inanimate monster." He admitted upon remembering what happened at the store.

"Yeah, I'll be fine." He reassures with another nod. "Just slight repercussions from running around a lot."

Although he did try to keep up his endurance up for times like these, even though he was no longer in the military. He'll need to cut back on smoking a lot too. It would be a good thing for his health (despite having immortality) and for his wallet.

He's silent when Eugen speaks and nods, unable to help himself but let out another chuckle. "...It has. This one was worse than the toothpicks and skewers."

He gives a weak smile in response, still weak from his injuries to laugh. "Let's hope this is the last time." Twice is enough, especially if it gets worse each time. He doesn't have that much luck in his life to spend.

"This sucks..." The pain is beginning to make him dizzy and he struggles to stay awake, constantly slipping off to unconsciousness. It's a good thing the sound of siren is approaching them.

"Hopefully." Even though he was trying to be reassuring, a part of him had a feeling that this wasn't the end of things.

Upon hearing the siren, he starts to get up, but pauses to look at Eugen for a moment to see him loosing consciousness. That wasn't good. As much as he wants to move Eugen in to a laying down position it would make it a little more difficult for the paramedics to move him.

"I'll go get the paramedics and they'll take you to the hospital. I hope you remember that when you wake up." He states, making sure to face him. "I'll come visit when this is all over."

With that promise made, he quickly moves off to the door to attract the paramedics attention to Eugen.

It's a good thing that Xander is facing him to speak because he could barely concentrate if it isn't for the fact that there's someone right in his face to focus on. He nods, barely registering the fact that even such a simple action is becoming difficult, hoping that he would remember when he wakes up.

By the time the paramedics get to him, he's already out.
