PLOT: WISE SNAKE'S EMERGENCE

Who: OPEN.
When: March 9th, Sunday, daylight hours.
Where: The business district of Locke City.
What: An enormous snake monster is pissed.
Warnings: Violence.

[The alien explodes silently - but it explodes.

First in a small cloud of hot (rose-scented) gas - those there to watch its final moments will want to step back.

A ripple in the air pulses - heavily - from where it once was, with absolutely no sound and color, but penetrating force. Anyone standing within two miles of the point of origin will feel a push, with those closest guaranteed to be knocked off their feet and temporarily dazed. Cars swerve and crash. Staff in the nearest office buildings launch into disarray. There’s no shielding from the blast - it can be felt through walls, through structures, in the air, and underground.

And it is felt underground.

The entire business district starts to shake, abruptly, jarred to a stir by some movement. It rises over the span of a long half-a-minute to the magnitude of December’s earthquake.

Tuning Towers experiences the worst of it - windows are smashing and objects are shaking loose and falling from the upper floors.

It finally ends - with screaming - as the head of an enormous pink snake breaks the lobby floor.

It flows its way quickly out of the hole it’s made, breaks itself another hole ever so politely through the main entrance doors, which were not meant to accommodate a twenty-foot-tall-and-wide exitor, and as it draws the last of its tail out after it, the quaking dies down.

It’s now roaring its way through the streets of Locke City’s business district - all several hundred meters of Wise Snake, emerged in the flesh (or stone?).

No regard for the walls of buildings, streetlamps, civilians, stopped and blindly pulled-over vehicles, anything else on its course - in a frantically-awakened, unrestricted rampage.]

[Well, it's better than what Rakka's plan was, simply running into the swarm to retrieve her hat.

Which she did, mind you. Finally picking it up, she pulled her hoodie back, exposing her halo for the briefest second, before placing the cap back on as tightly as it could. No more falling off here.

Of course, the snake that's currently being beaten by Miria can't really do anything right now. The other one sees an angle though. Despite being hit repeatedly with a broken bat, it tries to retaliate with a head-butt.]

[Miria seems pretty content to keep busting up the snake as it starts to fall apart a little.

Isaac, on the other hand, isn't doing quite as well. The headbutt connects and Isaac collapses backward in pain.] GAAAGGH!

[Miria spins at the noise in horro.] Isaac!

[She starts to head in his direction when the other snake whams into her. She collapses as well and her bat rolls away from her grip.]

[Rakka watches as the two go down. Something boils up inside her, it makes her scowl.]

G-get away from them!

[With surprisingly strength, Rakka gets to her feet and lets the staff loose on the snakes, blasting two of them to bits and scaring off a third. It's not long before they start to scatter.]

[Miria slowly lifts herself off the ground just as Rakka BLASTS THE HELL OUT OF THOSE SNAKES. Rising over to her feet, she races over to Isaac.]

Isaac?! Are you alright?

[Isaac nods as he pulls himself up.] Yeah, I'm fine.

[They turn in awe as the snakes slither away.]

Hey! Great job, buddy!

That was really good work!

I, uh...

[Geeze, all she did was make some stone snakes explode with her lightening stick. It's nothing.]

T-thanks. You guys were in trouble, and I had to try and help.

You don't need to be modest!

That was incredible!

You really save our hide!

[Geeze, all this appreciation. Rakka's not used to it. A smile appears on her face, however small.]

I... I was only trying to help. It's nothing, really.

[She coughs a little, wiping some dust from her clothes with her hat. Her halo bounced with the motion.]
