[Raye being in a sour mood on one of these network posts of hers isn't a rare sight by any stretch of the imagination, but this time she's not ranting or raving or looking even particularly grumpy, but she's definitely not happy as she stands out in the street, leaning against a wall. She definitely doesn't look good though and when she speaks up at least there's almost a tremor in her voice.]

Hey. So, uh, I was doing pretty good about keeping stuff under wraps around home and all but... I guess somebody picked up what I looked like when I was grabbing that teleporter thing. So, that... kinda just blew up.

Henry will not return to our house, or Locke in general. We've been battling the administration for his custody for nearly a month now, and they will not return him into our foster care no matter what we do. [His frown deepens for a moment as his voice becomes steel.] I spoke to some ...friends and acquaintances, and it seems that they now will take all measures that are not illegal to keep numbered from fostering children, even and especially if they're numbered themselves. ...And will try to remove numbered children in the system from the boundaries in which echoes are retained. Maybe it's only the department that was responsible in our case, but we've also been advised that complaints to higher levels will only affect him and our cause negatively, so that doesn't help us.

In the same line, none of our complaints regarding the vandalism against our storefronts seem to be leading anyway. Either they are not processed at all or we're told that there is no way to catch those that committed them anyway, so they'll not waste their time looking into it further.

[The baby stirs and he goes quiet for a moment to rock it, and when he speaks again he has tried to soften his voice to not wake the baby boy from his sleep.] That said, if anyone needs a bed and room to stay for a while because of them kicked out of their homes for being numbered, we now have a free ones. [And he doesn't sound happy about that, either.] My sons will not return to Locke for their safety, nor will my parents.

On a less serious note, it seems that I pulsed back a number of tattoos a few days ago. I assume that I won't have to treat them like new ones, as they already seem fully healed, but has someone else experience with echoed tattoos?

Hello everyone. The last time I spoke to you, many of you asked me to look into the situation involving the criminal attacks that have been plaguing our number. I'd already been acting to investigate this myself, but it is for that reason, and for the reason of our safety that I am speaking to you now.

There is someone leaking information about us to the mafia.

It cannot be doubted that this is the case. The people who have been attacked are all Numbered, or connected to someone who is. There is no way that anyone could have attacked that combination of people without someone feeding them information gleaned from the Network, as not all of the people affected by these attacks have their status known to the public.

We all need to be careful, but I would like to make something clear: Abandoning the use of the network is not the solution here. It is our one means of communication with one another, and whatever damage that can be done has already been done. If we divide ourselves and cease to communicate, we will be at a disadvantage to people who are clearly our enemies.

Of course, we cannot act as if nothing is wrong, either. Stay vigilant. Stay focused. Watch what information you give out and whom you share it with. And protect one another.

Outskirts Mingle Post! (Backdated to the 21st)

The ride there is closed but hanging out in outskirts afterwards is OPEN! seriously if you missed this post you can either backtag or handwave an invite from someone, or just kind of mumble into your hand when people ask how you got there.
Where: Starting in a Locke suburb, moving through various streets, and stopping somewhere in the rural area still within Locke's Echo boundary.
When: Evening/night of Thursday, August 21st
Warnings: bad language, violence against Vermedi.
What:
Part 1 - LOCKED to umbrael, detectivetroll, radiantchicken, gogoghostpowers - An attempt is made to move a large dinosaur out of town. In a shocking turn of events, they're noticed. Shenanigans ensue as Vermedi pursue.

Part 2 OPEN - hanging out in the outskirts.

Think of it like a bush party or a camping trip or something, just casual socializing/gawking at a big dinosaur and his parrot buddy unless someone gets bored and wants Vermedi up here too, idk out in the grassier, quieter area outside of town. There might even be something like a firepit, just, uh keep it safe, guys.
