let the bodies hit the floor

Who: Everyone joining the mafia attack
What: Attack on the mafia meeting
When: Monday night, December 8th
Where: mafia building

An hour before the meeting, everyone who wants to make a stand against the mafia - violent and potentially ill advised though it might be - gathers in a nearby location to make final plans. Nick’s original idea of Xander moving a small number of people through shadows into the meeting to take out Albero is still technically in effect, but only for those who are planning on gunning straight for the mafia boss himself. Or those who want to help take him out specifically, even if not to deliver the final blow themselves.

Thorir’s provided weapons from his shop, for any network members who know how to use them. L’d agreed to handle the coordination of getting everyone in the building to take out as many of the mafia members as they could, and to hopefully confine the chaos inside.

Because once they’re in and fighting, it’s… probably going to be at least a little chaos.

But hopefully, by the end of the night, it’ll at least be done.

[OOC: Linking one more time to the plotting post in case anyone needs it as the log goes on! I’ll post up a thread for those gunning for Albero so the mods can NPC him as needed, otherwise feel free to start your own threads to battle mafia goons!]

[Inside the building, among the ranks of the modified mafia members is one who looks oddly familiar.

If anyone ever wondered about the sudden inexplicable silence from the network's resident Blood Key double agent over the past few months, those questions are now answered. Something is very, very wrong though. His eyes glow a bright blue, with blue lines glowing under his skin and through his clothes. He is covered in metal plating and both of his arms are turned into his giant trademark orange robotic fists. A metallic whining noise emits from somewhere in his body and he shakes and sways slightly as his body strains to cope with the robotics and other modifications.

Regardless of whatever is wrong with him, though, he doesn't look as if he's planning to let any of the numbered through.]

[Hajime's been happily rampaging through a few of the lower-ranking mafia members. The Lord of the Bugmen is in fine form tonight; his fighty bug monster instincts are singing. He's going to lose himself in a monster rampage if he's not careful, and he's getting cocky.

And then he spots Chuck. He'd never really talked much to the guy, but he recognized him from the network. Double agent? Triple agent? Guy doesn't look like he's in good shape. Needs to be taken down. Hajime won't go so far as to put him out of his misery, but he'll try his hardest to beat Chuck into unconsciousness. Besides, that looks like a strong opponent...and the instincts of the Joker Undead drive Hajime to want to fight the strongest. There's an animalistic bellow of challenge as the big bug monster lunges for Chuck.]

[As much as he appears to be handling his current state poorly, Chuck is more than capable of fighting.

In fact, he decides to match Hajime's lunge with one of his own. Why dodge when you're halfway to being a robot? He has fast enough reflexes that as soon as Hajime lunges, he does too, planning to headbutt the bugg with a reinforced metal skull. And for some reason, his lunge seems to be unusually, freakishly fast and forceful.]

[Hajime wasn't expecting such a quick response. It'll take more than a reinforced metal headbutt to stop this oncoming bug, though he's slowed a little by the impact. He's moving to answer that with a punch strong enough to put a good-sized dent in a car.]

[Chuck responds by yanking up a metal fist just in time to meet Hajime's blow. Sure enough, a punch strong enough to dent a car is enough to dent Chuck's metal fist--and worse, in fact, as the brittle metal snaps and falls away, leaving just his normal arm behind.

However, he recovers quickly. With the whining sound of nanites building new machinery, another fist just like the last spurts out from his arm, good as new. He uses the recovered fist to strike, aiming right at whatever looks most like the stomach on this weird oversized cockroach.]

[Hajime wasn't prepared to see bits of that metal arm falling away like that--can he break Chuck out of there? He's surprised enough by this that he freezes in place for a moment, which is a bad thing. Chuck's fist catches him solidly in the stomach and sends him flying.]

[Good, landed a first hit. Chuck doesn't leave him unattended as he soars through the air from the punch, though. He keeps up with him, pouncing on his chest and grounding him with all the dense weight of a cyborg with an incredibly forceful jump. Once Hajime is more or less pinned to the ground, he leans down, head only inches from the bug's face and chest.

Chuck opens his mouth and fangs that look almost like pincers emerge. They seem to be extending from deep in his throat and out in the open space between his two sets of human teeth.

Now that the spider-like fangs are fully extended, he plunges the fangs into Hajime's chest and releases as much venom into the bug as he can. Chuck hasn't thought about how this venom might affect a human-sized cockroach, but really--at this point, he's not capable of much thought beyond using every weapon at his disposal.]

[Hajime barely has time to register the sheer what the hell of those fangs emerging from Chuck's mouth--throat?--before they hit their target and punch through his exoskeleton. There's a howl that's half-pain, half-rage, as he makes a powerful swing to try to push Chuck away. The venom burns, and Hajime can feel it burning and himself slowing. There's a bit of panic breaking through his rage--what is this stuff? It'll take more than that to make the big bug stop completely, but he's bleeding green everywhere from those fang wounds and has definitely been weakened.]

[When he feels he's unloaded an appropriate amount of venom, Chuck slowly pulls the fangs back out of the bug's chest. Slowly, the teeth retract back into his mouth (throat?) with a sickening sound, and Chuck looks almost human again. You know, if not for the giant fists, metal panelling, and glowing lights.

For now, though, he stands over Hajime, watching calmly. He must either be dead now, or too weak to do anything other than die.]

[Roaches are notoriously tough to kill. That holds true for this roach, because he's trying to kick one of his legs in the hopes of sweeping Chuck off his feet so he can get back to punching. There's an animalistic bellow of rage, though it's a very exhausted-sounding one. He's slowing, as much as he hates to admit it.]

[The kicking causes Chuck to stumble and fall over flat on his back with the sound of clattering metal. It takes him a few moments, but he gets back up, now ready to fight again: both fists are clenched and held outwards as though in a boxing match.

Bring it, bug.]

[Boxing? Hajime can do boxing. He charges in there with a wild, sloppy swing. It's still a strong enough punch to dent a car door, but he's not really too fussed about aiming or anything like that.]

[Chuck blocks the brunt of the hit with one of his fists, but is sent sliding into the nearby wall, making a huge dent in the process.

He picks himself up from it as though it barely affected him at all, though. And then he retaliates, rearing back one arm to deliver a punch with all the speed and force an out of control, giant-metal-fist wielding, brainwashed cyborg can muster.]

[The poison is slowing Hajime down. He's not dodging that punch, and it hits him pretty solidly, sending the big bug flying. He'll still be moving a little after he crashes into a wall somewhere.]

[And as soon as Hajime hits the wall, he leaps with unnatural speed over to his new location and begins what can only be described as "an unholy pounding." Chuck's fists come at him, one after another, constantly beating into him without even a moment's respite.

He isn't even registering whether or not Hajime is still moving after each punch, the movements are completely automatic.]

[Hajime's trying to return those blows with blows of his own. Really, he is. But his own movements are slowing under such an onslaught, and eventually, he'll stop moving at all.]

[Good. Once this guy stops twitching, Chuck will finally feel satisfied. Or at least, he will for a little while.

Until then, though, he increases the frequency and strength of his punches as much as he can. The sooner this guy croaks, the better.]

[Hajime doesn't have all his limbs sticking up in the air like a dead roach, but he's certainly still enough to be one.]

[He gives it one more good punch, and then stops, fists at the ready, and observes.

No movement. Good--task completed.

He turns around and begins walking back towards the fray, leaving the corpse behind him. There are others he needs to take out now too. He does not bother to keep an eye on Hajime--after all, he is dead now. The target has been taken out, so as far as Chuck is capable of perceiving, he no longer exists.]
