What: Crustacean commotion. CRAB BATTLE.
When: 26th September, daytime
Where: Las Vegas, flooded area and surroundings

[ At eleven AM, a pulsing shockwave resonates throughout Las Vegas. Seemingly coming from somewhere deep underground, the ripple of force doesn't last long - but that doesn't mean that it isn't strong enough to make any nearby reincarnates stumble or fall.

The quake that happens soon afterwards is much stronger. Unlike the last, it seems to rumble on and on... until it reaches its crescendo with the emergence of a monstrous pink crabster from beneath the recently-flooded area of the city. A miniature tsunami accompanies the 300-foot behemoth, further damaging the surroundings not already levelled by the flooding and the quakes.

It doesn't take long for Refined Shell to get its bearings and begin its rampage. Everything within range can expect to be swiped at, stamped on or crushed between its pincers in its mindless rage.

You might say it seems to be feeling a touch... crabby. ]

[The good news? The Super Silhouettes work as advertised, and Cure Moonlight is effortlessly zipping around the sky, doing her best to do something against this massive creature.

The bad news? That "something" isn't a whole lot. That shell... No matter what attacks she throws at it, they're being reflected off, sometimes back at her.

This is, decidedly, a problem. So what does one do? Distract the thing? Perhaps even more dangerous than actually attacking it, but maybe she can free up space for someone who better can.]

[Emilia was at something of a handicap herself. Due to the inconvenience of this fight taking place during the day, she was forced to carry a parasol to ward off the sunlight, effectively leaving her with the use of one arm. Even so, she's moving in to attack using her fist and her feet, flying close by Cure Moonlight in the process, pausing a moment to let her get out of the way...]

I only just got it, but even Gungnir is doing nothing but bounce off...! Looks like we have to punch it.

So... you wouldn't have super strength too, would you?

[Moonlight casts a glance to her as she drifts back through the air, trying to keep out of the monster's reach for now as she tries to get a handle on what's going on here. The oddness of Emilia flying around with a parasol isn't actually so odd for her, all things considered. She's seen weirder. So instead she focuses on the creature, presently thrashing against something - someone, probably - else unseen.]

I do, but...! [She grips one hand into a fist, pain pulsing through it.] I seem to get a backlash on that, too!

[Especially her, for some reason.]

[Basically, fuck sunlight, especially if you're a vampire like her. With a glance towards Moonlight, she decides to take a whack at that creature's shell. Maybe she'll have better luck?]

Let me try, I'm sure my punches will get through... Any magic I use isn't working!

[Moonlight grimaces.] I thought the same thing about mine. However, if that strength comes from magic, like mine... You might need to be careful!

[Another thrash and its tail comes swinging up towards them. Moonlight starts to rise rapidly to avoid it, though casting a glance towards the other girl if she's not fast enough.]

[Emilia is pretty tough herself, but honestly, she would still prefer to avoid getting hit in case she ends up dropping her parasol.

The vampire began to fly up after Moonlight, barely keeping up with the other girl.]

Hmph, I won't know until I can get a good chance to hit the thing...!

[Moonlight bites her lips, but nods. She has a part of her that wants to argue, but...]

...go on and try it, then! If need be, I can always pull you back!

[Probably.]

[Well, the second the vampire gets her chance, she dives towards the crabster, holding her parasol tight with one hand and leading with the other...

Her fist soon connects with a tremendous thwack, which rather than backfiring on the vampire, instead got her some results in the form of the shell cracking under her blow.]

It seems my strength is purely physical after all...!

[She didn't need to look so smug about that, though...]

[Of course, while looking smug, the creature doesn't let such a blow go unnoticed. It begins to rear about, but not before a beam from Cure Moonlight sails past its face as she flies some distance from Emilia to try and keep it distracted.]

Good, but don't think it's going to take that lying down!

[Emi pays enough attention to get herself out of the beast's way, at least. But she's proven that it can be hurt after all. And if it can be hurt, they can kill the monster before it flattens all of Vegas.]

Just keep it distracted! The more hits everyone can get in, the better!

[Lily bites her lip, but nods. Anyone being able to affect it is better than how things are going otherwise.] Got it! Just watch yourself, too!

[With that, she bolts off towards the creature herself, wings blazing behind her. She flashes quickly by its face, leaving a trail of small, mostly harmless blasts to just try and catch its attention.]

[As long as Lily has the thing distracted, Emilia has the chance to fly back down to attack. She'd dive bomb it, but her need for a parasol was hindering her top speed.

This time as she lands, she stomps down on the shell as hard as she can, breaking even more of the shell. Hopefully she'd have helped the other physical hitters make a big enough hole for people to use...]

[Sensing a chance, Moonlight suddenly shoots up right by Emilia. She takes a breath, raises her fist back... and slams it past through the hole in the shell, connecting with something much softer. The creature screeches and flails, enough that she's tossed back through the air.

As she catches her self in mid-air, though, she realizes one key thing - she didn't have the kind of backlash associated with trying to hit the shell itself.]

...we need to break that thing!

[Emi nods at her, right before having to take to the air or get sent flying like lily just did.]

A few more good, solid hits ought to brake more of that thing's shell!

[She flies up a good distance, before preparing to charge once more...]
