[Guess who isn't amused? That's right, her. The reason for her rather annoyed look is because she is now sporting a set of pointed ears that are slightly bigger than her former human ears. Even if she got creative with her hair, its almost certain the tips would peak out.]

Okay not amused. Gabriel this is all your fault! First you rock up with pointy ears and now look! Ears like yours!

[She turns her head so that her ears are more prominently displayed.]

What am I going to do?

[The last question is more rhetorical and is muttered to herself. She might be starting to freak out. Then suddenly looking up she furrows her brows slightly.]

I guess the better question is how do you tell you're family you're different?

[She laughs even though she doesn't feel particularly amused.] No. My dad will probably wanna feature me with the other numbers.

Oh, god. I can't let that happen.

Guess you're kinda stuck? But at least you know he'll handle the whole Numbered thing more or less rationally without going into conspiracy theory.

Thankfully no one in my family is into that stuff. Nature and fashion is our thing. Don't ask me how it works though.

Using palm leaves as tasteful decorations in a photo type stuff?

More like having a wild animal from a zoo or a sanctuary in the photo shoot with the model.

Or using money raised from the selling of his photos to fund nature conservation, that sort of stuff.

That doesn't sound so bad. Especially if you get to cuddle of leopard cub or something like that.

Except my dad is a perfectionist. And you will waste hours trying to get that perfect pose. I'm also not big on being on the receiving end of the camera either. That's my sister Claire.

So get some fake ears, stick 'em on your sister and voila! You can photoshop it if the ears look too fake.

Somehow... I don't think I could convince her to wear fake ears. She isn't into that sort of thing.

[And then Ariel tilts her head back in though for a moment.} Although, she might do it if she thinks its a big enough fad...

Tell her as a 'serious' model, she's obligated to try it at least once.

But pretty sure you're not the only one with pointy ears so...it could be the start of a fad?

My sister is 21-- she wouldn't know serious if it bit her on the ass. Life is sort of one big game to her right now.

[Of course Ariel also sort of thought the same as well, but she certainly wasn't going to mention that to Fil. She at least had a job and responsibilities unlike her sister.]

Make it into a competition or game. That usually works.

You don't act like an immature diva though. I'd be sinking to her level if I turned it into a competition. This girl has been vying for first since th day she was born. No thanks.

Ma wouldn't have stood for that sort of behaviour in her house. Nor would my sisters.

Well, I'm out of ideas then.

You gave me some good ones while you had the steam. Claire is just special like that. [Ariel grins to him, chuckling a little.]
