[Kara's staring seriously into the camera when it clicks on, hair pulled up into a messy bun and arms spread business-like across her desk. on her left is an impressive stack of children's valentines (you know the kind, the ones with cartoon characters you buy in boxes for the class party) and on her right is an equally impressive bag of fun size chocolate.]

Greetings, fellow clubmates! I am sorry to be taking up your attention like this, but considering the date I am afraid that it cannot be avoided.

[the way she's speaking makes it seem like this is a life or death scenario, but then she keeps going and...]

In only a few days' time the Day of Valentines will be upon us! We do not celebrate such a holiday at home, but I have done the research on it and know very well that not receiving an affectionate greeting card can cause irreparable damage to one's soul and ruin lives!

[that's how it seemed in the many, many movies she watched that touched on the subject, at least]

I do not wish for my dear Numbered friends to suffer such a tragic fate! There were a great deal of charming cards and sweets on sale which I have taken the liberty of purchasing, and I implore you to allow me to write you at least one of them!

We may arrange for a drop-off point if you are leery of having your identity revealed, but please do not let pride keep you from accepting it! There is only so much time in which I can make these deliveries. I promise that my penmanship is excellent and any good tidings I write will stave off the horrible life-crushing feelings!

i think that for all of the danger which comes with it, it is wonderfully exciting! like something out of a storybook. C: and if we are to be given these powers and memories, we should try to do our best to help people with them.

there are a great deal of pessimists using this network, i am afraid. we are working on balancing this out, but it is a gradual process. :)

it is quite exciting, is it not? this is my first celebration of it, of course, but holidays are always special.

Eventually little by little, we'll get everyone to see that it's not so bad here! I mean, we got to meet so many new people and go to see all our past live friends. What's so bad about that?

Oh really? Then what kind of holidays do you celebrate? Because otherwise? You're missing quite a lot here in Locke City! There's St. Patrick's Day coming up along with the first day in spring and let's not forget about summer coming too!

nothing at all! many say that the danger makes it not worth it, but the world is very dangerous no matter what it is you are doing. here at least you have a group of people who will support you no matter what, and i think that makes the difference.

Well...there are of course the religious days, and the new year, and independence day, and victory day. There are others scattered about as well, but i would feel a bit silly rattling them all off at once. ^^;

Seriously! I just wish that a couple of people could only see that. We're not out to get each other, we're just having the same problems as they are with the police and all.

i am sure that they will, when the time comes. there are some people in this world who are stubborn enough to outlast doomsday, so we must give them to to warm up. at least, i think that is the correct phrase. xD

well, there is also women's day, constitution day, pentecost, the labor days, tatyana's day, men's day, unity day, ivan kupala day, kiev day if you are in the city...things like this. :)

Haha, that is true! There are some people like that who just won't listen to others sometime! I definitely know that my brother and I'm like that sometimes! Trust me on that, wait until you see our fights...

Oohhh! So you're from Russia or something like that! That's pretty cool and especially with all those kind of holidays too!

i think it would be rather odd if siblings did not bicker at least some of the time; it is what we were placed upon this earth to do. especially when brothers are so troublesome. ;)

Haha, I'm a little envious! I'm just from America and lived all her life here in Locke City! I'm afraid that I'm a little boring!

oh my goodness, i know this very well! one of my brothers pretended to be a sea monster on my first trip to the shore and pulled me off of my inner tube while covered with seaweed! it was dreadful.

there is nothing boring about this at all! it is a fascinating city, and there is no reason why you may not travel at some point in your future.

Whoa, that's a whole new level of just being rude! He could have given you a heart attack or even worse! Whoever your brother is, he's just being mean! ...But that's big brothers for you...

it was quite frightening! but i believe that he was upset with me for having pushed him off the hayloft, so it was not as surprising as it might have been. my siblings and i are very...ah, energetic.

well, there are ten of us altogether, which apparently speaks for itself to many of the people here. we are all very active and prone to the playful teasing of each other! but even though we caused many of the headaches for our parents we love each other very much.

i am sorry, but i do not. perhaps it is because of my english, but are you saying that there is no reason for someone to wish to know you better?

nine, actually - with me it makes ten children in the house. it is a very boisterous household, especially when we were much younger! i am surprised that we did not injure ourselves more seriously than we did, or that our parents did not go insane.

still, it is something i would not trade. i enjoyed the chaos of so many people dwelling together. :)

Sounds a little like how it was back home when I was growing up with my two other siblings! Of course, I did have to wonder how our dad managed to take care of all of us with everything going on! It's a little miracle too...

it is quite amazing the strength which parents display that we are unaware of as children! although in our case i believe that threatening us with the various farm equipment helped to keep us more or less from completely getting out of hand. xD

please forgive me for being forward, but this feels like an incorrect belief to me. everyone is capable of accomplishing great things, even if it is not right away.

Oh jeez, that sounds like it would have taken quite a turn if that did happen! But I didn't know you lived on a farm! It makes me wonder what kind of strange shenanigans you and your other brothers might have gotten into with all that equipment!

That's what I want to think too. Maybe I am rushing a little too quickly into this but I'm just wondering what could I do. Ah, maybe I'm just overthinking this a little!

yes, i lived on one up until i left home for college! it was very enjoyable, although i suppose that is merely bias showing through. even with the inevitable chaos which came every time one of us was old enough to learn how to operate the tractor. xD

i think that is much more likely. many times the correct path is not visible until one must actually take it, if that makes sense. there is no need to worry until that time.

What was it like living on the farm anyway? I just lived here all my life so I never really got a chance to see what it's like living somewhere different! It must be so much fun with all those animals and that tractor too! ^_^

Yeah, I guess so. I mean I'm only 15 so I still have a lot of plan out! I'm still young and hip!

there were not actually that many animals! we grew wheat and the like rather than raising animals, so the few we had were for personal use. it was a great deal of work, and often very dirty, but i enjoyed it greatly. it is a very satisfying feeling to see the harvest come in at the end of the year and know that you played a hand in its success. :)

exactly! you are at the very beginning of your life, so there is no expectation to have everything well in hand now. simply enjoy the moments.

I'll say, it sounds like there's plenty of hard work that was put into it! It seemed like it took a lot of time too and especially when it looks like that everything just paid off in the end! I might have to try that some day when I have the time...

Yeah...I really hope so! And I'll definitely try to hope for the best!
