She goes still as stone all in an instant, stopping the incessant foot-tapping and straightening up, arms uncrossing. "Hey..." That's said quietly, not enough to really get the attention of anyone who didn't note her sudden reaction.
A frown, as she shifts stances, head tilted just slightly as she works out what she's "seeing". She's felt these before, and when she'd offered to count up the statues earlier, it hadn't been an idle offer. "Hey! Guys! Incoming!" And that's louder, with a certain hard edge to her voice.
Sophie turns towards the wall, backing up more towards the group. "Better figure out what you want to do about statues now, we've got - five, we've got five coming here right now."

Okay, maybe this wasn't such a safe idea after all.
"I'm sorry, what?! How do they even know...?"
no subject
Mostly she's tried to never get near them when she's felt them coming her way. It's worked out for her so far. "But I'm not joking around: incoming."

Maybe.
Probably?

She plucks her cellphone from the pile of guns and skitters off towards the edge of the room to do just that. Gotta call Shouty-Good-At-Killing-Things Boyfran.

Miranda, having been silent up until now, finally says something.
"Well, the floor's probably a lost cause. I think I might have to get out of here, since if you have to save me that's just going to be one more thing you have to worry about."

If he could, he would actually burst in through the wall Koolaid Man style, but sadly he can't and has to use the door like normal people.

At least there are guns. He scrambles for one of them, nearly dropping it right after he picks it up.
This is going to be rough.

"You grab one too. It's time for snakefight round two." She pulls her dice from her pocket. It's not the ideal time to give them a trial run, but whatever. No time to worry! The buzzing is getting loud. And there are one-liners to deliver.
"And th-HISS time, it's personal."
no subject
"We might be in a lot of trouble if we have to fight them in here. Not exactly an ideal location."
Plus he doesn't really know how to use a gun properly. If that would even be any good against giant stone snakes.

"I can bend stuff. I'll try to keep the basement stable." If everyone is going to use guns or shoot things, she can at least make sure they don't get buried under rubble, um.
no subject
"Alright, okay, no. We need to get people out of here first and foremost. Those of us with a way to defend people can stand up, but people who need to get out of here - now. Whoever can get people out of here need to. If you don't have a way to defend yourself - don't try and stay here."
He continues to scan the room, gritting his teeth in frustration. "Does anyone have a hammer handy?"
no subject

"If you can do it, do it." He says through gritted teeth. "I should be able to lift it. And it's better than going in with nothing."
no subject
She's never tried to do something this specific before, but after a few seconds of work she has a metal hammer. ...Sort of. It is hammer-shaped, as made by someone who knows the shape of a hammer but who has never seen one themselves. She then tosses it at him BECAUSE THAT'S A GREAT IDEA. You're welcome, Mac.

"I-I can do that! I can get people out of here safely if they need it!" He looks around the room. "Who needs out of here?"

Marisa had the Mini-Hakkero in hand, but she wasn't crazy enough to actually USE it in this small of a space. "I'm worse than useless down here. If I do anything I'll probably bring the building down on our heads!"
no subject
"I can fight, but I can't fight monsters... Not yet," she mutters, frustration evident. "I... I do. I can't be of help to anyone here..."
Again.

Proud hasn't been hearing anyone, or seeing anything, his tone climbs and so does the speed, the intentness, and the wild-eyed-ness of the scanning. "What did you do? Anyone?!"
He's fixing on very specific parties one by one as he guesses at them - flings a dagger with a look at Xander, pins Marisa, takes a scoot toward Sophie with a quick teeth-showing opening of his mouth as if to make a demand quickly shut up with a rapid shake of his head -
All the while, a buzzing is picking up around the basement. Very fast.

She stands up just after Danny and quietly clears her throat before speaking up: "I can, too. Don't know how many people we can jam in there, but my car's outside."
