town meeting, alien breaking hoa rules

What: The Numbers discuss how to go about addressing the alien in the farmhouse. Nothing could go wrong, certainly?

Dammit! Lily grips her hands into fists, frustration building.

"I can fight, but I can't fight monsters... Not yet," she mutters, frustration evident. "I... I do. I can't be of help to anyone here..."

Again.

"Okay, got it!" The urgency in everyone's tones has made him a little shaky, but he keeps it down enough to offer his hands out to both of the girls. "Grab on and don't let go, okay?"

Mini Hakkero: back in pocket, Broom in one hand, Danny in other hand. "Okay!"

[envisaging]

"I can't fight, I can heal, I can't - " This was meant to be a relatively safe meeting in a basement, that was the entire reason Sierra agreed to come.

"Okay--okay, don't worry, I'm going to get you out of here!" By this point Danny had already pulled Marisa and Lily out, and the snakes had started coming through, but thankfully Sierra was still safe. Danny doesn't like it--this feels too much like playing with fire, with people's lives at stake, but he has to focus on the fact that no matter what could have happened, in reality she was still fine.

"Hold on!" At this point Danny doesn't feel like he can just offer a hand, so he figures that the exclamation is enough warning. He grabs Sierra by the forearm and turns the two of them intangible and turns back to pull her out of the house.

THANK GOD. Sierra's not lying about the not-fighting thing: her echoes have all been cosmetic, vague memories, or a spell for healing. Technically three spells for healing, now that the snakes have started coming in, but she has no time to go over what she has or hasn't gained int he past few minutes, just feeling sheer relief as she's dragged out of the house by Danny.

Luckily she was at his intangibility party, so the experience, while weird, doesn't add to her panic. When they're outside, she realizes she should say something before he goes back - because, well, he has to. "Thanks. I - if anyone gets hurt, I'll stick around out here. I can heal, I have magic for that."

So, you know, if you bring anyone like that to her she can...try to do something about it?

Danny actually takes a second to take a breath himself--everything all of a sudden is happening so quickly and so explosively that he needs a moment to readjust himself. While he's doing that, though, he's paying attention to Sierra's words. Once he feels a bit better, he takes a deep breath and steels himself to go back in.

"Got it. I'll--i-if anyone gets hurt, I'll bring them over to you." He sounds unsure about it, but then makes himself nod definitively, both to make himself feel more confident in the course of action as well as reassure Sierra.

That done, he turns intangible again and runs back into the fray.

She nods, although he's gone before she finishes the action. True to her word, Sierra will stick around outside at a safe distance, fully prepared to put her magic healing skills to good use if need be.

Sierra really hopes it isn't needed, because...well. But she'll do her best if it is.

Lily gives an irritable sigh, but otherwise doesn't complain. She places a hand on his shoulder and nods.

"Let's go."
