[General Log] Tuning Towers, Sept. 22 onward.
Who: Any and all!
Where: The site of Tuning Towers (and/or en route accordingly), at the heart of the business district in Locke City's downtown.
When: September 22nd and onward.
What: Following that mysterious buzzing sound to its strongest point! Perhaps you made plans with numbered associates for a trip downtown, or perhaps you went a-wandering alone to follow the noise yourself - surely you'll hardly be the only one.
[Tuning Towers, the third-largest building in the United States and Locke City's most prominent feature, from a tourist perspective in one sense and quite literally by another - look up and marvel, if you will, should you not be a bit too distracted by the circumstances.
Even if you needed to focus to tune into the buzzing in your brain at the start of whatever trip you took, you'll find that by the time you come close enough to the tower to feel a rising sensation of tremors beneath your feet - unnoticed, as far as one can tell, by the crowds, which almost never lack presence around the building - you'll be able to hear it very easily without even trying. It isn't terribly intrusive in the first couple of days after the return of the lights in the sky. As September moves on and into October, however, the intensity will grow all the more overbearing.
It is, indeed, even worse if you enter the building - only the ground floor is accessible to the unauthorized by the tower's maintenance and management or personnel of the companies making use of it. Apart from that, among the indoor crowds, you'll find nothing unusual on the ground floor - and if you'll find that the buzzing loses its strength the higher you go if you take a trip up to one of the observation floors.]

"Maybe have a picnic while we're at it..."
"Nothing too stressful."
They give him two oblivious smiles.
"Wanna com with us?"
no subject
Wheatley can't imagine why anyone would bring a picnic to this sort of thing, but he's already pegged the Dians as slightly eccentric, so to each their own, really. He glances from the couple to his moped and back again--it's a very red pill, blue pill moment, he thinks. Go home, turn the television on, try to turn out the buzzing, or go with Isaac and Miria and see how deep the rabbit hole goes.
"Sure, I--I don't see why not."
no subject
They start by practically dragging him forward, toward that giant tower of likely danger.
"So, what do you think the noise is?"
no subject
Then he just sort of goes with it, letting himself be pulled along.
"Well, um."
He has a few theories, but inexplicable buzzing seems a little hard to pin down, especially if they're the only ones that can hear it.
"Could be some kind of electrical signal, a crossed wire, or something. If it's coming from the Tower, it sort of explains why we can hear it everywhere, I mean, it's the--it's the tallest building in the city."
no subject
They nod in agreement.
"That would probably make sense."
Isaac lifted a hand to the air dramatically.
"Not to mention radio waves from cell phones!
no subject
It makes sense, at least, and it's probably the case, but Wheatley still doesn't know how the pieces fit.
"Doesn't explain why it's only us, to my understanding. Numbers club, I mean. As far as I can tell."
no subject
"With complicated science and stuff."
They gesture randomly to try and convey some kind of point.
no subject
Wheatley lets the silence hang in the air for a moment before speaking again, a question that's sort of been troubling him since the whole mess started.
"What sort of--what sort of pulses do you two get? If that's--I mean, if that's okay to ask."
no subject
They rub their chins in unison.
"Mainly memories. Strange ones too."
"I think maybe we were in old timey-times? It'd explain why we were wearing cowboy outfits."
"Or why I got a top hat."
"Or reading a letter in a cave."
no subject
"I remembered space," he says finally. "Not really sure how that fits in, I only--only started this business a few weeks ago."
