[General Log] Tuning Towers, Sept. 22 onward.

Who: Any and all!
Where: The site of Tuning Towers (and/or en route accordingly), at the heart of the business district in Locke City's downtown.
When: September 22nd and onward.
What: Following that mysterious buzzing sound to its strongest point! Perhaps you made plans with numbered associates for a trip downtown, or perhaps you went a-wandering alone to follow the noise yourself - surely you'll hardly be the only one.

[Tuning Towers, the third-largest building in the United States and Locke City's most prominent feature, from a tourist perspective in one sense and quite literally by another - look up and marvel, if you will, should you not be a bit too distracted by the circumstances.

Even if you needed to focus to tune into the buzzing in your brain at the start of whatever trip you took, you'll find that by the time you come close enough to the tower to feel a rising sensation of tremors beneath your feet - unnoticed, as far as one can tell, by the crowds, which almost never lack presence around the building - you'll be able to hear it very easily without even trying. It isn't terribly intrusive in the first couple of days after the return of the lights in the sky. As September moves on and into October, however, the intensity will grow all the more overbearing.

It is, indeed, even worse if you enter the building - only the ground floor is accessible to the unauthorized by the tower's maintenance and management or personnel of the companies making use of it. Apart from that, among the indoor crowds, you'll find nothing unusual on the ground floor - and if you'll find that the buzzing loses its strength the higher you go if you take a trip up to one of the observation floors.]

[Neku wasn't paying attention to many of the people he passed by, only vaguely noticing Miles as someone he'd seen at school. It was only when they were getting close to the Tuning Towers that Neku noticed this guy was going the same direction. But... Neku was following a really obnoxious noise, and the Tuning Towers were popular, so maybe this kid was just visiting them. Right? Right.

Either way he didn't give that much thought to it, other than wincing a little when the buzzing starts to get particularly loud. Pressing a hand to his headphones as if that would help, he looks up at the Tuning Towers before cautiously heading in, only making the ringing in his ears louder.]

[Miles raised his hand to open the door-- and stops. He'd almost forgotten that he'd gotten it sprained and he was wearing a brace to make sure it wouldn't move it as much as possible.

So he pushed with his left hand instead, and shouldered the door open the rest of the way for him to enter.

But as he got in, he sucked in a breath because wow that buzzing noise is a little over the top right now and is the ground shaking?

He stole a look at the other people milling about, and they didn't seem that all bothered by what was going on. Which was impossible, because if an earthquake was happening, everyone would have been able to feel it. So what kind of tremors were this?

Miles also had another problem on hand-- he recognized those headphones and that head as someone from school, couldn't remember who exactly, but those headphones were distinctive enough, and he knew he was probably screwed if they looked and saw him there. So he tired to be casual about walking around and keeping his features from him indistinguishable.]

[Well, if Miles manages to catch a look at Neku's face, he'd find someone else there reacting to a fucking earthquake. He stumbles a little when he first feels it, but when someone asks him if he's alright and... doesn't seem to be freaking out about the earth moving, he just makes up some excuse about tripping over the rug and moving away.

The buzzing noise is nigh unbearable now, Neku feeling like he was in danger of going deaf at any moment. Could no one else actually hear this?

He doesn't know where to follow the noise too now, no direction seeming to cause any noticeable change (though he's not sure how it would), and he doesn't exactly have access to any of the more private areas. Maybe if he wonders towards those doors he could get a sense...?]

[Miles does notice that guy reacting to... something. The same thing he's been feeling since he got in here? Miles watches as he stumbles and pretends to trip over the rug, but who the hell trips over a rug in the first place unless they're shuffling like a zombie?

So he follows the guy around, pretending to be his friend or something to a casual observer. He's not sure if he should make contact right away though.]

[Neku, though distracted by the buzzing, is still very, very paranoid right now... so it doesn't take him long to notice Miles kind of tagging along.]

...What? [stop following him how is he supposed to figure things out.]

[Miles discreetly casts a look around, before getting close enough to the other kid. Not close enough to violate his personal space, but enough that he can whisper and it'd still be heard.]

You should act casual, not like you're looking for something.

[...what.

Luckily it doesn't take too long to figure it out- and hell, with all the people going anon on the network (himself including), it wouldn't be that much of a stretch. Still... he doesn't want to outright say it, either.]

...Suggestions on how? [he's a terrible actor ok.]
