[General Log] Tuning Towers, Sept. 22 onward.
Who: Any and all!
Where: The site of Tuning Towers (and/or en route accordingly), at the heart of the business district in Locke City's downtown.
When: September 22nd and onward.
What: Following that mysterious buzzing sound to its strongest point! Perhaps you made plans with numbered associates for a trip downtown, or perhaps you went a-wandering alone to follow the noise yourself - surely you'll hardly be the only one.
[Tuning Towers, the third-largest building in the United States and Locke City's most prominent feature, from a tourist perspective in one sense and quite literally by another - look up and marvel, if you will, should you not be a bit too distracted by the circumstances.
Even if you needed to focus to tune into the buzzing in your brain at the start of whatever trip you took, you'll find that by the time you come close enough to the tower to feel a rising sensation of tremors beneath your feet - unnoticed, as far as one can tell, by the crowds, which almost never lack presence around the building - you'll be able to hear it very easily without even trying. It isn't terribly intrusive in the first couple of days after the return of the lights in the sky. As September moves on and into October, however, the intensity will grow all the more overbearing.
It is, indeed, even worse if you enter the building - only the ground floor is accessible to the unauthorized by the tower's maintenance and management or personnel of the companies making use of it. Apart from that, among the indoor crowds, you'll find nothing unusual on the ground floor - and if you'll find that the buzzing loses its strength the higher you go if you take a trip up to one of the observation floors.]

September 25th | Shiro, Mamoru, Chris, Regina
He's also eating something, but what else is new. It's hard to tell what it is.]
no subject
Wait a minute, Mamoru? That can't be right. He does look a lot like her acquaintance, though, and her curiosity is piqued enough that she takes several steps forward, one hand shoved inside her pocket. Come to think of it, Mamoru did say that two other people will be coming along, so she can only assume that this guy is among them. With an eyebrow raised and gaze slightly narrowed, she replies:]
Are you looking for the source of these irritating buzzing sounds?
no subject
no subject
[Ah, so that explains the resemblance! Regina offers Shiro a quick nod of acknowledgement, relaxing her facial features once she learns who he is.]
Yeah, he told me that you were coming. My name's Regina, by the way. Good to meet you.
no subject
Nice to meet you, too. Yeah, he said someone else would be comin'. Chris Starsky is coming too, you know her? Anyway. Mamoru should be out here in a bit.
no subject
Chris Starsky? I don't think I do, no.
[Her lips purse together in thought once the amazement turns short-lived. If she spoke to that person, she most likely forgot, if the large amount of people she'd talked to over the network were an indication. Unless they stand out to her, everyone else just seems to blend together in a homogenous blob of no-name faces.]
But I know Mamoru mentioned her to me in our text message, so there should be at least four people coming, us included.
no subject
Hey, cutie.
[She nods to Regina]
Who's this? She with us?
no subject
Four seems like a good group. [OOPS glomped from the back. Shiro blushes a little, then grabs Chris's arm with a grin, and kisses her hand. Wow they're gross and cute. This is why you were invited, Regina.] Heeey~ Yeah. Her name is Regina. Mamoru invited her along. The more the merrier, right? Regina, Chris. Chris, Regina. Now Mr Barista just needs to hurry his ass out here.
no subject
Yeah, yeah, I'm here, I'm here. Sorry to keep you guys waiting.
Everybody ready? I think we should head that way -- [he points] -- since my home is that way -- [again, pointing] -- which means it's stronger in this direction.
[He jabs his thumb at the rising skyline of Locke City's business district.]
no subject
[Regina blinks at seeing the couple before her eyes, looking rather awkward and sheepish. 'Geez, Mamoru wasn't kidding, after all!', she thinks as she looks at the PDA before offering a nod to Chris, waving her hand a little in greeting.]
Um, good to meet you, Chris.
[Once she spots Mamoru arriving, Regina quickly walks over to where he's pointing, one hand hovered over her eyes. Soon, an alarmed expression mars her features and she turns her head to Shiro and Chris.]
All right, let's go! Maybe if we head in this direction, we can find out how to stop those annoying noises.
no subject
[He sets off after Regina, headed down the street that seems to be taking them in the right direction.]
If anyone asks, we're geocaching or something.
no subject
But geocaching is probably less suspicious, anyway. Yeah.
no subject
[luckily for all involved, it seemed that the initial bit of PDA was all for now. Shiro isn't the type to walk down the street holding hands or anything] Just gotta follow our ears, I guess. [he jogs off after his brother and Regina, keeping an easy pace]
no subject
[Even though it sounds childish in Regina's head, but anyway, her sprints slow down into careful strolls as she strains her ears to follow the buzzing, shifting her glance over to Mamoru and her company every once in a while. Leaning over to one side, she rests a hand against a nearby building and takes a breath, then pushes herself off and cups her ears.]
Did you guys hear that? They've gotten a lot sharper than I thought.
no subject
But...does anyone here know their way around this part of the city? I haven't had a lot of reasons to come up here. Finding the source is all well and good, but I don't really feel like getting lost.
no subject
[She tugs at the sleeves of her leather jacket and elbow-length leather gloves under it. Thank god it's late September and thus better weather for it.]
But I at least know what's around here.
no subject
[His sense of direction is shit. They reach a crossroads and Shiro turns his head this way and that, then selects the road that takes them even more downtown.] They're hiding something this weird in the middle of the city?
no subject
[Trailing off, Regina's ears instantly perk up at the mention of Thunder Corp, and she tosses a curious glance at Chris, complete with a slight eyebrow quirked. Consider her interest piqued, if only muted as well.]
Is that so? Something sinister, I bet, knowing what those people are like.
[Her surmises come out softly like a murmur.]
no subject
[Oh man. That sounds both really awesome and really dangerous.]
What're they working on? ...are you even allowed to tell us?
