{002} LOG: Sightseeing in Neuschwanstein, Slumming in Vegas [OPEN]
Who: Misa Amane and you OR Doppel!Misa and you! Specify in subject which you want.
What: Misa goes to the castle to investigate a sudden personality switch/doppelganger phenomena. Doppel!Misa, meanwhile, skulks about the castle grounds trying to avoid conversation and find something interesting to do. Doppel!Misa can also be found in Vegas.
Where: Neuschwanstein, Las Vegas
When: February 10th for Misa, February 10-15 for Doppel!Misa.
Warnings: None yet.
Option 1: Normie
Misa had never imagined that she might wind up in Germany of all places, barely a week after her long anticipated journey to the United States. But thanks to her introduction to teleportation technology (what) here she was, possibly having left her stomach back in the States. But despite the lingering queasiness and spinning in her head from having just undergone the impossible, Misa approached the castle at a brisk pace. There was too much excitement to do anything else. Echoes, Others, a teleporter, and now doppelgangers? Every day Misa half convinced herself that she was on the receiving end of the most elaborate prank in human history. But she wasn't, because this was all real, and she was going to be the one to solve these mysteries and bring them to the public! Starting with why a man who looked an awful lot like Lazarus had shown up on the network in Germany (and wearing a Hawaiian T-Shirt), when Misa knew him to be elsewhere (and of a different aesthetic). If the answers to this new phenomena were anywhere, they would be at this castle.
Option 2: Doppel
This place was exceedingly boring. Too many people talking and nothing to do; Misa's personal hell. Doing her best to avoid the various loud groups surrounding her, Misa hugged the wall and kept her head down, throwing off every don't talk to me vibe she knew. She was not drunk enough to deal with being in this place. One of those things needed to change.

1!
She stops when she sees Misa approaching and tilts her head at the new arrival. Do I know you? If she does, maybe this person can help, but where...
no subject
"Awww, what a cutie! Are you lost?"
She reaches out her hand for the puppy to sniff and glances up, looking for an owner. Are dogs really allowed to run around without leashes in a place like this? Maybe rules are different in Germany, though the lack of a collar suggests it could be a stray. Either way, Misa isn't sure she'll be able to find the puppy help when she doesn't speak a lick of German.
no subject
She sniffs her hand for a moment to be sure that she'll find her again if she loses her too and then sits her butt down, tail wagging hopefully. "I came here running after my mistress but she's being all weird!"
no subject
Misa flails her arms and falls backward as she shrieks, staring at the puppy as if... well, as if it just talked. Which it sounded an awful lot like it just did.
"You," Misa starts to say, but words fail her. She glances around once again, this time looking for someone who might be pranking her by throwing their voice. But it had sounded like a little girl! In fact, the voice is familiar...

"You're the girl I talked to on the network?"
no subject
Donk donk donk goes a little tail. Very nice, Misa.
no subject
"It's nice to meet you in person," she says at length. "Sorry, you surprised me."

Option 1- DoppeL
He raises his hand when he sees her, greeting her with a wide grin that seems out of place on his normally somber features. "Misa?" he asks, taking a break from scarfing down bacon. "I'm so glad someone came! It was starting to get pretty lonely out here. You came just to keep me company, didn't you?"
no subject
"You caught me," she replies, trying not to show quite how unnerving that smile is. Lazarus seems nice, but there is something about seeing him grin that is just off. "You seem... excited."
no subject
He laughs at her choice of words, seeming to find a thrill in them, specifically the word "caught."
"It's an exciting day, and an exciting place to be. Do you like bacon?" he inquires, offering her a piece, holding it as close to her mouth as she will allow. "I find it to be the most delicious food I've ever tried, can you believe it took me 26 years to do it?"
no subject
"I'm full," shes states, shrugging as if she too is baffled how one could go so long without trying bacon. It actually is a little odd, but not if these supposed clones sprang into existence just days ago. It's hard to blame him for being excited, and dressing himself with the finesse of a child.
"It is exciting, I've never been to Germany before. The castle looks amazing!"
no subject
He glances the direction of the looming castle, beaming. "It is amazing. I've already been through it a few times and the king's bedchamber is stunning. I want to give the bed a whirl," he states casually.
no subject
She tilts her head to the side as she tries out the name, curious how he'll respond.
no subject
"That's a great idea," he says enthusiastically. "I would really like to give you a personal tour, Misa. Believe me, mine is far better than anything you'll get from any of the 'official' guides..."
His airquotes are as sarcastic as they come, and slick with bacon grease.

Bracing himself, he walked around semi-upright, a pigeon the size of a small horse, until he found someone to talk to. "Excuse me."
no subject
Standing her ground as he approached, a short noise of surprise caught in her throat when he addressed her directly. Of course the giant pigeon talked. Naturally.
"... Yes?"
no subject
His throat inflated a little as he talked, and his beak moved - not like a puppet, more like a real bird singing.
no subject
"I didn't think you were going to bite!" Misa assured him, forcing a laugh. "But I've definitely never seen anyone who looked like you before."
no subject
"Huh, all right. You're not a local." He's spent enough time in and around Neuschwanstein to be fairly confident of that by her accent. "Tourist?"

She was aware that everything about this conversation must sound insane to bystanders, but surely the giant talking bird component would be the greater distraction. "Do you live here?"
