PLOT: WISE SNAKE'S EMERGENCE

Who: OPEN.
When: March 9th, Sunday, daylight hours.
Where: The business district of Locke City.
What: An enormous snake monster is pissed.
Warnings: Violence.

[The alien explodes silently - but it explodes.

First in a small cloud of hot (rose-scented) gas - those there to watch its final moments will want to step back.

A ripple in the air pulses - heavily - from where it once was, with absolutely no sound and color, but penetrating force. Anyone standing within two miles of the point of origin will feel a push, with those closest guaranteed to be knocked off their feet and temporarily dazed. Cars swerve and crash. Staff in the nearest office buildings launch into disarray. There’s no shielding from the blast - it can be felt through walls, through structures, in the air, and underground.

And it is felt underground.

The entire business district starts to shake, abruptly, jarred to a stir by some movement. It rises over the span of a long half-a-minute to the magnitude of December’s earthquake.

Tuning Towers experiences the worst of it - windows are smashing and objects are shaking loose and falling from the upper floors.

It finally ends - with screaming - as the head of an enormous pink snake breaks the lobby floor.

It flows its way quickly out of the hole it’s made, breaks itself another hole ever so politely through the main entrance doors, which were not meant to accommodate a twenty-foot-tall-and-wide exitor, and as it draws the last of its tail out after it, the quaking dies down.

It’s now roaring its way through the streets of Locke City’s business district - all several hundred meters of Wise Snake, emerged in the flesh (or stone?).

No regard for the walls of buildings, streetlamps, civilians, stopped and blindly pulled-over vehicles, anything else on its course - in a frantically-awakened, unrestricted rampage.]

Um...okay then?

[Abby just smiled back at her. Yes, it did feel a little awkward knowing that she knew so little about her own city but that was for another time. Until then, she started mumbling to herself. Those snakes...just what were they anyway...?]

O-Oh right! My name is Abby and thank you again for saving me back there! But what about you? You're not hurt or anything right? [Meanwhile, the girl will be...looking around to see if there was any other snakes around...]

[It takes her a moment to figure out the right direction, she's new to the city and figuring things out has been slow going.]

You're welcome. I'm fine, thankfully I learned how to do that attack with the water when the first snake attacked me. [Which was perfect timing, really but maybe that's how these things worked.

But she doesn't dwell on it long before a movement out of the corner of her eyes catches her attention as she suddenly shoves Anna aside so she can kick away the snake attempting to lunge at them.] Watch out!

[sjokolade]

Really? Then you're pretty lucky! Then it sounds like whatever Echo might come next will sure to be an awesome one later on right? There's got to be something else to top that one!

[As Abby looked around, it seemed like they were in the clear thus far. It was kind of funny. While she wanted an adventure of sorts, this was a little different from what she had in mind.

Then again, she just had to wait for whatever 'powers' might come to her right? However, when she was pushed to the side once more?]

H-Hey, what was that fo- oh, c'mon, there's more of them now?!

[elegantsoldier]

I'm not sure but it seems like they're more than I thought. [This is troubling to Neptune because as many people she can see fighting the snakes, it's going to be tough getting control of them all while protecting those who couldn't fight.]

Are you alright? [Once the snake is still, Neptune turns towards Anna again, worried. She didn't mean to shove her very rough, just enough to ensure she was out of the way of the snake.]

[sjokolade]

Hey...d-do you think that there might be more than enough that could actually... [She didn't want to finish the rest of her sentence. She didn't want to think about how many of those 'snakes' were there ready to kill so many other people.

It was funny too...at how she couldn't stop shaking.] Yeah, I'm okay! I...I think I'm just not really use to all of this...

[elegantsoldier]

We won't let them. [Neptune didn't want her to finish that thought. She felt a burning desire to what she could do to stop this, to fight what was endangering them all.

As more snakes approached them, she paused to bend down to pick up a thick but short piece of wood, some wood before handing it to Anna.] You may need this, we'll fight them off.

[sjokolade]

[With the wood in her hand, that was when the young girl started panicking.]

B-But I don't know how to fight much less trying to fight off giant snakes like that!

[While she did want to protect people, that was the problem. How could she do something like that with just wood?] Shouldn't I get some training first?

[elegantsoldier]

Grip it tight, like this.

[Neptune reached out to show Anna how to hold it securely.] Swing it as hard as you can, but make each blow count.

[Neptune gives Anna a small smile then, she'll make sure the girl makes it through.] I'll be right by your side, don't worry.

[sjokolade]

You mean like a bat?

[She questioned as soon as she begun to switch it around. Even with Michiru's smile, that didn't make things better! In fact, it probably made things a little bit worse!]

A-All right then? That means I'll actually fight against the snakes then...?

[elegantsoldier]

It's not hard, just put your strength into it. [Neptune is distracted then by having to kick a snake away which had been trying to wrap around one of her ankles, crushing it under her heel.

Once she gets a moment, she pulls up her powers once more to send a wave crashing into the snakes but she's starting to feel exhausted, her shoulders sagging, slightly out of breath. ]

They aren't stopping, we have to escape.

[sjokolade]

[There was no turning back now, Abby just had to try her best to attack whatever snakes were coming her way! Even with no real training, she just had to try! With a gulp, she quickly smacked away a snake away with all her strength...!

...Did it work?

When she opened her eyes, she saw that it did work! As the remains of the snake was on the ground, she gave a sigh of relief.] H-hey, did you see t-

[Before she could finish, her smile quickly changed into concern] Hey, are you okay? [Oh right] Then let's hurry, there's got to be a place where it might be safe around here!

[She gave the other girl her hand in attempt to run.]

Lets go! [Neptune doesn't pause to answer the question about her well being as she grabs Anna's hand. The street is chaotic, she doesn't want them to get separated as they run through the debris.

As they start to get some distance, she slows down, letting go of Anna's hand] You did pretty good there.

[sjokolade]

[At first, Abby raised an eyebrow that the missed question but she'll let it slide for now. She wasn't quite as tired as Michiru was but she couldn't help but feel a little guilty about it though.]

Hey, you should take some credit for yourself! You did pretty awesome back there too with all that water power you got going on! You shouldn't sell yourself short there!

[But the tone in her voice? She is worried if she might be pushing herself just a bit]

You're very sweet to say so. [And Neptune is touched, but there is also that feeling that she couldn't have done otherwise.]

I'm still uncertain as to where it's coming from, I've never been able to do anything like this before.

[sjokolade]

It's not a problem, I'm just more worried about how you're holding up against those snakes!

[She gave a small giggle]

Well either way, just take it easy. I mean, there's got to be somewhere we can go until this is all over! [Hm...]

I could always ask my dad if he wouldn't mind having someone to stay until all the damage is cleaned up though....

[elegantsoldier]

I couldn't impose on him but thank you for the offer. That's very kind of you.

[She may still be figuring things out but she knows that someone finding out who she really is is not a good idea.

Once they reach the end of the rubble, she stops to look around, making sure there are no snakes which have gotten out so far before looking back at Abby.]

You'll be safe now, do you have somewhere to go yourself?

[sjokolade]

I don't think it would be imposing! There's a lot of other people who are in the same boat as we are so the best thing we can do is to just help others!

[Of course, Abby's dad doesn't really know about what she's been up to either so there's also that too. She really needs to talk to him about this doesn't she?

She too looks back at the rubble to see if there was anything going on. So far? They really were safe for now.]

Well, the only place I can really go is to my dad's place but um... he doesn't really know about what I've been up to though.

[elegantsoldier]

You should go home to him, I'm sure he will understand as only a parent can.

[She stops there, suddenly. Abby is safe, but Neptune knows she has to go back to the battle.]

I'm sure he is only concerned for your well being.

[sjokolade]

[All she got is a chuckle out of the other girl.]

Yeah, well, I really hope so, I don't know how he'll react to knowing that I'm on this network...

[And boy, would his react be a bit...]

Well, I know it'll be ....scary. [However, she does look to the back of her. She knows she can't stay for long either.]

[elegantsoldier]

I'm sure his worry would be for your safety, especially after today.

You should hurry while you can, if you need me just contact me over the Network with your location, I'll be able to find you.

[Neptune gives her an encouraging smile then, feeling a bit more rested though she still feels the fatigue to some degree. She's going to have to start training now to increase her endurance.]

[sjokolade]

[Abby just shook her head]

But you should rest up too! Even though you're doing a lot of work, you shouldn't just keep on pushing yourself like that! Or at least find something for you rest up!

[However, she was wondering if she should have said anything like that. But then again, she didn't want to see anyone work themselves to the bone like that either!]

[elegantsoldier]

[She has to admit the other girl is right, she's not used to these new powers and using it has taken its toll on her. But something is pushing her onward, maybe she can figure what is causing her to remember things.]

I will rest later, please don't worry. I'm more concerned for your well being.

[sjokolade]

[At least she's taking her advice! Too bad that there were people who don't really know when to take a break when stuff like this happened like herself.]

Well, all right but...at least you should give me your name! That way I'll know when you're safe or not! Pretty please with cherries on top~?

[elegantsoldier]

[Her name...there is a pause as she considers what to tell her. It's not that she doesn't trust her but having her real identity mixed up in this is not something she wants.]

Sailor Neptune. I should be able to find you on the network.

[sjokolade]

[For now, Abby will take it! There was a part of her that wanted to know what her real name was but a codename will work!]

Sailor Neptune? You mean kind of like a nickname or a codename for yourself? [Giggle] That sounds good to me! And just in case! My name is Abby and it's nice to meet you...again!

But I'll make a codename for myself soon too!
