PLOT: WISE SNAKE'S EMERGENCE

Who: OPEN.
When: March 9th, Sunday, daylight hours.
Where: The business district of Locke City.
What: An enormous snake monster is pissed.
Warnings: Violence.

[The alien explodes silently - but it explodes.

First in a small cloud of hot (rose-scented) gas - those there to watch its final moments will want to step back.

A ripple in the air pulses - heavily - from where it once was, with absolutely no sound and color, but penetrating force. Anyone standing within two miles of the point of origin will feel a push, with those closest guaranteed to be knocked off their feet and temporarily dazed. Cars swerve and crash. Staff in the nearest office buildings launch into disarray. There’s no shielding from the blast - it can be felt through walls, through structures, in the air, and underground.

And it is felt underground.

The entire business district starts to shake, abruptly, jarred to a stir by some movement. It rises over the span of a long half-a-minute to the magnitude of December’s earthquake.

Tuning Towers experiences the worst of it - windows are smashing and objects are shaking loose and falling from the upper floors.

It finally ends - with screaming - as the head of an enormous pink snake breaks the lobby floor.

It flows its way quickly out of the hole it’s made, breaks itself another hole ever so politely through the main entrance doors, which were not meant to accommodate a twenty-foot-tall-and-wide exitor, and as it draws the last of its tail out after it, the quaking dies down.

It’s now roaring its way through the streets of Locke City’s business district - all several hundred meters of Wise Snake, emerged in the flesh (or stone?).

No regard for the walls of buildings, streetlamps, civilians, stopped and blindly pulled-over vehicles, anything else on its course - in a frantically-awakened, unrestricted rampage.]

[Sasha's far away enough from the Wise Snake and any smaller ones to be out of immediate danger at the moment--but that could change very quickly, and she's clearly not doing anything about that. Instead, Sasha is standing in the middle of the sidewalk like a deer in someone's headlights. She's wearing full 3DMG , which looks extra ridiculous over modern day casual clothing instead of a uniform, but her newly acquired skill with it doesn't stop her from being absolutely terrified.

She's even shaking a little.

For all Sasha's tried to talk up how cool and tough she is, the real deal is something she was never really mentally prepared for. She's known this ever since Mikasa disappeared, but rather than facing it she's tried to bury it under more and more obnoxious humor and fake confidence.

Perhaps fake confidence can get her through this yet. She's a hunter, she tells herself. She's a superhero, and apparently killing monsters was what the old her did...but her only memories of her old self never really indicated she was any good at it, and that doesn't exactly make her feel secure in her new abilities.

So as much as she's trying to push herself through this, she's not making much progress.]

[Anthony, on the other hand, is more active than his incarnation and he's in the air when he sees Sasha, standing on the street as she is. He wonders for a moment what she's doing, standing in the open like that, but he thinks about the snake in the middle of the city and about Armin -- about how that kid felt that one time in his memories when all of his friends died -- and it's not difficult to put a name to what Sasha must be feeling now.

But that doesn't mean it's safe to be still like that and he steers himself downward toward her.]

Hey! Hey Sasha!

[hungryhunter]

[Sasha's startled out of her daze when she hears Anthony calling her name,and turns to face him, laughing nervously here and there.]

Oh. H-hi. What a mess, am I right? I was just about to...jump in and...fight stuff.

[anequal]

[She looked rather like she'd just jumped into oncoming traffic, really. He blinks, not saying anything, and shakes his head. ]

It's balls. It makes me have more respect for snake charmers and those crazy guys in videos who fight cobras. You know how to use that thing, right?

[hungryhunter]

Yeah. I...I guess "remembered" isn't the right word but yeah, you get the idea...

They're not that hard to cut. Just make sure you don't go straight at their mouths in case you slip up.

[hungryhunter]

Oh...yeah. Right. That would be bad.

[Says Sasha as she is still just standing there. A+ work.

Well, she'll try to make this less embarrassing for herself.]

Just common sense, or did you learn that from experience?

Both.

[Come on Sasha they're getting approached by a snake here!!!]

But I didn't get eaten. So we're good for now.

[RIGHT time to not cry and put those skills to use...she's gonna actually take a defensive stance now woah progress.]

Let's keep your not-getting-eaten record intact, then.

And let's keep you on the eating side. I can manage cutting this guy -- [He says, pulling out his blades already.] You wanna join me?

Yeah. Sure. What's a bro for if I don't have your back, right?

[Her hands are shaking a little bit, but when the snake gets close enough she slices towards it almost instinctively. Gaining the skill as well as the gear meant that she suddenly had years of training behind her even if that didn't come with any confidence in it.]
