PLOT: WISE SNAKE'S EMERGENCE

Who: OPEN.
When: March 9th, Sunday, daylight hours.
Where: The business district of Locke City.
What: An enormous snake monster is pissed.
Warnings: Violence.

[The alien explodes silently - but it explodes.

First in a small cloud of hot (rose-scented) gas - those there to watch its final moments will want to step back.

A ripple in the air pulses - heavily - from where it once was, with absolutely no sound and color, but penetrating force. Anyone standing within two miles of the point of origin will feel a push, with those closest guaranteed to be knocked off their feet and temporarily dazed. Cars swerve and crash. Staff in the nearest office buildings launch into disarray. There’s no shielding from the blast - it can be felt through walls, through structures, in the air, and underground.

And it is felt underground.

The entire business district starts to shake, abruptly, jarred to a stir by some movement. It rises over the span of a long half-a-minute to the magnitude of December’s earthquake.

Tuning Towers experiences the worst of it - windows are smashing and objects are shaking loose and falling from the upper floors.

It finally ends - with screaming - as the head of an enormous pink snake breaks the lobby floor.

It flows its way quickly out of the hole it’s made, breaks itself another hole ever so politely through the main entrance doors, which were not meant to accommodate a twenty-foot-tall-and-wide exitor, and as it draws the last of its tail out after it, the quaking dies down.

It’s now roaring its way through the streets of Locke City’s business district - all several hundred meters of Wise Snake, emerged in the flesh (or stone?).

No regard for the walls of buildings, streetlamps, civilians, stopped and blindly pulled-over vehicles, anything else on its course - in a frantically-awakened, unrestricted rampage.]

[ OOC: This is part two of the Season 1's finale. The first - the assault on the farmhouse - is here; pertinent plot posts one and two. ]

Her strongest spells having had little effect on Wise Snake, Marisa had backed off to reconsider her options. She came lightly down on top of some kind of office building a few blocks away and leaned against an industrial sized air conditioner to catch her breath.

That was when she heard the roaring. She slowly turned around to see the side of the titan's head.

"What the FUCK is that!?"

Yelling right near the titan's head may have not been the smartest idea. It turns to look at Marisa, narrowing its eyes as it seems to consider what to do with her. Very quickly, it comes to a decision and reaches a massive hand up to swat at her.

Luckily for her, the building is high enough that the titan can't quite reach her and hits the rooftop a few feet away from her instead.

Even the near miss made her stumble into the air conditioner to stop from falling on her ass. Sheer terror powered adrenaline got her through the casting ritual faster than she had ever managed before as, before the titan could do anything else to her, she whipped the mini-hakkero around and blasted it in the face with an enormous laser.

It wasn't a very good Master Spark, though. This one was wobbly and unstable looking, and the beam was less intense. Enough so that you could look through it and see things on the other side.

It may not have been a very good Master Spark, but it was enough to melt off a good chunk of the titan's face. Bellowing with pain, it stumbled back a few steps. Huge plumes of steam were coming off its injuries, but even through them it was clear that it was already healing. It was blinded for the moment, though, leaving it flailing wildly in Marisa's direction.

"Is EVERYTHING spark-proof today!?"

Marisa jumped into the air as a massive hand flew through where she had been a split second before. She almost made it too. Her left leg was hanging down, and it got clipped, sending her spinning through the air before landing again on her back. The air burst from her lungs with a gasp, leaving her unable to breathe for a few seconds, but at least she was out of arms reach of the Titan for the moment.

The titan kept trying to reach her for a few moments, but seemed to realise that it wasn't getting to her and turned its attention downwards. It bashed the wall of the building with its fists over and over again, making the rooftop shake. Maybe it was smart enough to try getting to her by collapsing the building, or maybe it had already forgotten about her. Either way, it wouldn't take long before the roof would collapse.
not_good_not_wicked: (Oh fuck she looks mad)

After a few seconds that felt like an eternity, Marisa finally managed to gasp in a breath. She sat up, shook her head free of stars just in time for the rooftop to start shaking violently. She reached out for her broom, which bounded over to her from where it had landed like an excited puppy. From there, she kind of flopped onto her noble steed, which bore her slowly and drunkenly into the sky, out of reach of the titan's rage.
