Description: A minute after midnight EST, some people around the world who used to be numbered yet have lost their echoes since suddenly have all their pulses returned to them.

At 4pm EST, a child's laughing voice resounds in the air all around the world, remaining for over a minute and staying longer where it gets caught in the echo between buildings, mountains, or other echoing surfaces. Not long after, people in areas where the moon is visible (like those in Europe) will see pink lights on the moon, like a pink aurora borealis from above going all the way around the moon, and then the whole moon changes shape. Literally. It unfolds into a giant serpent that soon can be seen from everywhere around the world as it moves to wrap around the world, tossing and turning head and tail as if trying to hit and bite nasty flies. ...And if someone gets out a telescope, they'll realize that the serpent is doing exactly that: There are tiny spaceships attacking it and trying to pass by it, but for now it is holding up. ....You might maybe rather get to safety than get your telescope out though, because the serpent sometimes smashes down into the earth in its tossing and turning, and while it doesn't hit inhabited areas that still causes tsunamis and earthquakes. Giorgio A. Tsoukalos and Erich von Däniken will announce that it's totally aliens!!! SEE THEY CALLED IT. Ancient astronauts that gave the earth culture are coming back to us!

What this day is for: This day is mostly for reconnecting with returnees and dealing with the last wave of plot echoes. It is also for catastrophe relief efforts for areas that are hit by tsunamis or earthquakes. The only echo boundary that will be devastated in this way are the Galapagos Islands. Characters that can fly or have special swimming abilities are especially invited to help with rescuing people and delivering first aid. (Icly, the talks with the first wave aliens also happen here and they will be wrapped up or dropped after the 4th of May. You are still welcome to jump in and talk to an alien!)

How this works:

- Day 1 does not have any alien encounters past those in this log.
- There will be no toplevels on this post. Please start your own threads freely! Please format the subject line like this: "Location(s)/Network | ota/closed/etc". Please keep in mind that each character may change location twice per day (=a maximum of three different locations) and that the moon/space location is still off limits on the 1st Day.
- This post can be used for both network and action threads.
- Keep in mind that returnee characters must have checked in and must request their echoes if they get any.

Well, here they come. They've not landed yet, but they still come. And already Emi is forced to run around as quickly as she can to get from Vegas to Germany, Celine may want a lift to get to Locke as quickly as she can.

Preferably before things get worse than they already are.

She sends Arthur, Dani and Celine a quick message.
"Celine, get ready to move. That moon serpent has woken up, I'm sure you know what that means. Arthur, Dani... get to Locke, Celine and I will be meeting up with you there."

It goes without saying that America would be where the Numbered would be needed most. She sends out another message, this time to the Network in general.

"I'm getting Arthur, Dani and Celine ready and in one place. Wherever we're needed, we'll be there.

We'll show those invaders we won't give up our home."

Celine had just stumbled in from outside, still trembling a little bit when her phone rang. She knew exactly who that was going to be. She had the worst timing! Groaning inwardly, she answered halfway through the third ring.

"Hello?" A pause. "I noticed the moon serpent." Her voice was a little unsteady. She had likely just had an echo. "Take your time. I need to take care of a few things. I'll leave the door unlocked so just come in when you arrive."

She hung up as quickly as she could, her lips tightening as she began to dial her family and friends one by one. It would take some effort but those that were not somewhere safe needed to be convinced to move there.

Emi was now making haste towards the teleporter, and will of course be there soon. She of course told her family and non-numbered friends to get going before she left.

"Alright. I'm making my way over." She'll contact Celine once again when she arrives on the German exit of the teleporter. Just a quick message that she'll be over soon enough and she hoped Celene will be ready by the time she arrives... Charging in, of course.

Celine was, indeed, ready. Hovering several inches above the ground, she was focusing on her watch, struggling to remain steady. It was carrying that faint uncomfortable aura with it, but far less potent. More... Focused? In fact Celeine's overall presence appeared more focused.

She looked up as Emilia entered, dropping down after a moment, the watch going dark. "I'm ready. Let's go."

Huh. Well, that's quite a change from the last time she saw Celine. And she can fly now? She stares at her a moment, before continuing on. Time to get back to Locke.

"Okay, come on. Let's get back to Locke."

Her flight certainly didn't seem very strong, but it was at least something. Celine, however, chose to walk out, grabbing her keys and locking the door once they were both out. "... You'll probably need to carry me to the teleporter again if we're going to get there with any sort of haste..." She did not sound very happy about that either.

"In that case..."

She isn't going to get much warning before the vampire grabs her tightly and prepares to take to the air with powerful flaps of her wings.

"Let's go."

Celine's cry could probably be heard by every other resident. She clung tightly to Emilia, much too tight for comfort as they took off. Celine was already trembling her arm covering one of Emi's eyes. Good luck removing it...

When they landed at the teleporter Celine didn't let go right away, her jaw clenched tightly. "You c-could have given me a little warning..." Prying her off might take some effort.

As soon as she landed, she will indeed start trying to pry Celine off of her. Trying to go through the teleporter to the old boring school turned Numbered central would be rather awkward with Celine still attached to her. So would trying to leave the building.

"Ah... I could barely see..."

With his whole mind stewing, Arthur sat in a prison waiting room, dressed as casually as anyone would come. He waited. Kyle was supposed to be removed from his cell within twenty minutes and lead down to see him. At that time, Arthur could have said he was at his calmest.

His eyes set on the ceiling above, he lifted up his cell phone, looking at Emilia's text with a muted expression.

He texted back, "im there / are you ok / wheres dani / i may have to get kyle out of here"

It wasn't as if he hadn't thought about it. Whatever connection he had to Kyle should have been severed by time and fighting. As much as he wanted to, Arthur couldn't truly sever that bond.

It took a moment but Dani responds. She'd been withdrawing again and being hesitant to do much.

"...Why? What's that?"

"You saw the moon, right?" She hoped Dani had been paying attention to what's been going on now...

"A little bit and then I went back inside. Something happened?"

Nope. She saw the color and went back inside.

"Is it something bad? If so, maybe I should stay away.."

"It turned into a huge snake and is attacking something..."

"Oh...Are you sure I should be there?"

The whole wolpertiger thing still is on her mind.

"They haven't got here yet. Besides, Arthur and Celine will be waiting."

There is a moment before Dani responds again. She wasn't wanting to mess things up but..

"..Okay. I'll be there soon. I...Is there anything you want me to bring?"

"Hmm, nothing comes to mind."

If the aliens were invading, it's a good chance that Emi would want Dani to hide with her family.
