Description: A minute after midnight EST, some people around the world who used to be numbered yet have lost their echoes since suddenly have all their pulses returned to them.

At 4pm EST, a child's laughing voice resounds in the air all around the world, remaining for over a minute and staying longer where it gets caught in the echo between buildings, mountains, or other echoing surfaces. Not long after, people in areas where the moon is visible (like those in Europe) will see pink lights on the moon, like a pink aurora borealis from above going all the way around the moon, and then the whole moon changes shape. Literally. It unfolds into a giant serpent that soon can be seen from everywhere around the world as it moves to wrap around the world, tossing and turning head and tail as if trying to hit and bite nasty flies. ...And if someone gets out a telescope, they'll realize that the serpent is doing exactly that: There are tiny spaceships attacking it and trying to pass by it, but for now it is holding up. ....You might maybe rather get to safety than get your telescope out though, because the serpent sometimes smashes down into the earth in its tossing and turning, and while it doesn't hit inhabited areas that still causes tsunamis and earthquakes. Giorgio A. Tsoukalos and Erich von Däniken will announce that it's totally aliens!!! SEE THEY CALLED IT. Ancient astronauts that gave the earth culture are coming back to us!

What this day is for: This day is mostly for reconnecting with returnees and dealing with the last wave of plot echoes. It is also for catastrophe relief efforts for areas that are hit by tsunamis or earthquakes. The only echo boundary that will be devastated in this way are the Galapagos Islands. Characters that can fly or have special swimming abilities are especially invited to help with rescuing people and delivering first aid. (Icly, the talks with the first wave aliens also happen here and they will be wrapped up or dropped after the 4th of May. You are still welcome to jump in and talk to an alien!)

How this works:

- Day 1 does not have any alien encounters past those in this log.
- There will be no toplevels on this post. Please start your own threads freely! Please format the subject line like this: "Location(s)/Network | ota/closed/etc". Please keep in mind that each character may change location twice per day (=a maximum of three different locations) and that the moon/space location is still off limits on the 1st Day.
- This post can be used for both network and action threads.
- Keep in mind that returnee characters must have checked in and must request their echoes if they get any.

Yeah. I'll make the best of it when the time comes. [He paused, looking aside to the windows of the mansion. Even then, he could see that a lot of things were cleared out, but not enough to make it seem as if they were simply moving.

It was clear that it was a move necessitated by evacuation.]

So, that'll be fine--if it's just us, here. I'll feel more at ease if it's just us.

So it's come to this... War. [The vampire went quiet, watching the mansion for a few moments.

All they're taking are the essentials, and even that is quite a bit.]

Yeah. Better to worry about the fighting than anything else. I don't have a problem with fighting, I've come to like it. This is different.

Mmm. [Arthur had no problem with Emilia liking battle--he had to admit that she looked graceful in the middle of it, almost like a ballerina with her spellwork. It was a stark contrast to his style, which was simple obliteration. If he could compare them, he would call himself a sledgehammer, while Emilia was a rapier.]

I wonder what our doppels are going to do, though. Do you think they'll help?

[If he didn't have a problem, then that's good. Makes things easier.]

I think mine might help... I don't think she'll have much choice.

She didn't seem the type. [While his own doppel was too much the type. Arthur thought he only fought out of necessity, after all.

His doppel was just looking for a fight.]

Do you think she can do what you can?

She might go... Just to keep her boyfriend safe. I think she can do anything I can do, though.

[knights_king]

[He thought it was sweet. Realizing that she was like Emilia in that regard, it forced Arthur to smile.]

He's lucky to have her, then. Maybe she'll be able to do something about his attitude.

Hmn, maybe.

[She kind of doubted that. She was still a timid girl.]

Would you be willing to help her out?

[Even if they were weird to him, Arthur felt as if the other two of them could have become something good.

The problem was simply sorting through how odd they were.

Though, he had no right to call anyone odd, himself.]

I just might do that. Maybe I should treat her like family...

[They're going to take a little getting used to, that's or sure.]

[knights_king]

I'm not calling him family. [He interjected right away, reflexively.

Arthur may have come to respect his doppel, but it didn't mean they were both on amazingly good terms.]

Him? Hmph, certainly not!

[Nope, she just plain doesn't like his double.]

[knights_king]

[He breathed a sigh of relief.] Alright, good!

[There was just a touch of nervousness.]

The most I'd go with is maybe a second cousin...

My double is so much easier to get along with... And strangely cute.

[Mostly, Emi wanted to look out for her, and hoped she survived the invasion...]

...Is she? Has she said anything to you?

[Arthur obviously hadn't spoken to her directly--he only really remembered his Doppel trying to put distance between her and the two of them, before.]

Not directly, but Rakka had told me about her. Plenty about her. The doubles of the Precures push mine around a lot.

[knights_king]

The Precures' doubles?

[Wow. He hadn't really met them, but he knew they were basically made of sugar. The opposite of that would be...]

That sounds kind of scary, actually.

[Emi herself liked Winter, and didn't mind how sweet she was much. She hoped her double was using a different name, though. No confusing one Winter with another.]

Yeah... Look how my double ended up.

[knights_king]

Yeah, like she needs a lotta help. I don't know if that's a project anybody could handle, though.

[Totally helping fix up somebody was one thing, but it required a person's personality to allow it.]

...Mama tells me she wants to adopt her.

[She didn't think much of the girl at first, but now she wants to interact with her more.]

I... don't see anything wrong with that. I can't tell you what that guy would think.

[For the most part, he was sure the other guy wouldn't care too much--but then, that guy had a Stepford Wives smile.]

It surprised my, that's all.

[Emi didn't think there's be trouble, given that... Amelia, as she calls herself now, would be safe and loved.]

She looks just like you.

[That was the only case he thought he had to make. Wouldn't a parent want to protect someone instinctively, just for that reason?]

And she's so much more vulnerable...

[That might have had something to do with it too.]

Y-yeah, really vulnerable... [He couldn't sugar-coat that one at all.]

Still, she'll manage better than most people. If she has your powers, that'll at least be handy.
