Where: The museum that is attached to the town-hall of Füssen, specifically the Kaisersaal.
What: Mingle and happy welcome!

Through the usual channels, the mayor of Füssen has invited any and all numbered - no matter if they are only visiting for the evening/weekend and actually reside in Locke or Vegas or if they are staying for longer - to attend a little reception at the Kaisersaal in the town museum which is attached to the townhall.

Aka this snazzy room just with the chairs grouped around tables and no stage, though four musicians play quartets on a low podium at the side of the room. It's a very distinguished affair don't screw it up, you can do it, numbered! No, we don't know who believes that, either.

Mingle and eat and have fun!

And a note: Drinks are free! But the youngsters will get carded, and alcohol like beer will only be served to 16+ people, while spirits and other higher percentage booze will only be served to 18+ people.

[Rose will be wandering around the room and greeting pretty much everyone that seems free at the moment. She is dressed nicely, but not overly so, and will open conversations with a smile and a nod, and if the person keeps her eyes, the words:]

I'm Rose Bonbright. How're you doing? [And then offer a hand for a handshake.]

[Greeting non-numbered and trying not to tower over them, Julien feels like a giraffe trying to drink sometimes.]

Galu! Julien Sakazaki. I'm a little excited, how 'bout you?

Excited is a little bit of an understatement.

[She smiles and just leans back a bit, curiously peering up at him.]

My mother and sister have told me a lot of things, I wouldn't have though that you're coming over here next - the numbered in general, that is.

[espigeonage]

Great! [he would like to shake hands but it's kind of a process.] I hope we can do good here.

Oh? Why not? I've never been overseas before.

[merchants]

Well, Locke and Vegas are in the US, right?

[She laughs and then makes a vague gesture with her hand.] And of all places - after two large cities, you'd have expected London or Paris, or Berlin or Rome... or even just Munich or Milan, something of that kind.

[Well, one of them is the winged 9 year old who curtsys even if she's not quiet dressed for it.]

It is nice to meet you, I'm Danièle Delacroix. I'm doing well, what about yourself?

[merchants]

[...Oops, children. She isn't actually sure what to do with children. She's been told that it is always good to be on the same eye-level as the other person, though, if it is possible without offence - so she offers Daniéle a chair at the next table before pulling one for herself.]

I'm doing fine - just glad that I don't have to drive back all the way to Innsbruck tonight, that wouldn't be particular amounts of fun.

[Dani isn't one for formalities even if she was brought up to know them. But she happily takes the chair when offered and sits, folding her wings behind her to keep them out of the way.]

I guess it's a long drive from here? Or is something more going on that we don't know about?

Only winding mountain roads... but there have also been strange sightings in the area lately. As in, just when I came in today the lady in the petrol station told me that she'd seen a... what's it called - voip -ah-deeng-ah. I think. Local mythical beings in the area - I think she just saw a cat and imagined wings on it, but there's been a few strange things. And with what Eileen tells me about Vegas, and the news from Locke...

[She shrugs, but there is a clear streak of being uncomfortable to it.]

[professorwolf]

Well enough, miss Bonbright.

[Lyall accepts the handshake, but a bit more carefully and slowly than he might have a month ago. It's after dark; he is being overly careful that he doesn't break anything, particularly people's fingers.]

It's a pleasure to meet you. Randolph Lyall.

[She may or may not recognize that isn't actually the name he gave on television. It's pretty damn close, at least, but it's still slightly off.]

[Yes, thank you for not breaking her fingers, that would just be very rude behaviour in a guest, wouldn't it?

And there is a short pause in her act that indicates that she noticed that the name is off, but perhaps doesn't trust her ears or memory - or simply feels that it is not the time to bring it up.]

It is a pleasure to meet you as well. You are from Locke, aren't you? Are you over for a visit, or will you move to this area now?

I haven't decided yet. It is a bit tempting, I'll admit.

[But Locke is home, even if the house is no longer the secure refuge he needed it to be, and there's Nick to consider.... He offers her a little smile.]

I will say I find the people here to be much more friendly. It's a nice change.

[merchants]

They are much slower to jump to reactions than us, I've found - but also slower to welcome you with open arms. Not unfriendly, no, but... you will see for yourself, if you stay.

Mother says the hotel is rented indefinitely for now, so that at least shouldn't be an issue.

AHOY THERE!

[Arthur vigorously returns that handshake, and if she's not careful, she'll find herself the recipient of a hearty slap on the back.]

I'm Arthur! Arthur Curry!

[She'll just laugh just as heartily. Arthur, she likes you.]

My mother has told me much about you, Arthur. [A grin.] Have you checked out the lakes here yet? I'm sure they are different from what you usually get.

HAH! So my OUTRAGEOUS REPUTATION precedes me! Your mom's a great lady--I'm glad we were able to help her!

[And he perks up at the mention of the lakes.]

I just got here for THIS! I haven't had a chance to check out any lakes--maybe I could CRASH there for the night! See if the fish speak with WEE LITTLE GERMAN ACCENTS!

[And thus she will come upon a very serious child with sharp green eyes and snowy white hair. He's not really the social sort, as will likely become obvious pretty quickly, but he's trying this talking thing with people who approach him.

[Bonbright, huh? Well . . . it seems that this family has pretty much been legitimately on their side, so this might be okay. It takes him a moment before returning the handshake -- the thoughtful, halfway measuring look an indication that it's not out of shyness. A somewhat surprisingly firm handshake for such a small kid, perhaps. He's not abnormally physically strong like some of the Numbered, but it fits his demeanour.

[It's another few seconds before he deigns to introduce himself, and it feels weird doing it at all, considering he's not openly out. Vague news reports of a middle-school boy having been fighting against the giant crab are the closest anything has gotten to that.] Toushirou Hitsugaya, and I'm alright I guess.

It's nice to meet you, Toushirou.

[His behaviour and strength in combination with his appearance offsets her a bit, and after a moment she adds:] Are you as young as you look? [After all her mother has been telling her all kinds of things, and to a small degree also her sister; and of course internet and news...]

[That manages to get a slight headtilt from him.] Unless I look older than twelve, then yes. [He's used to being assumed a bit younger than what he is, as he's below average in size. Rose's question honestly confuses him a bit. Why would she ask that?]

[No, Rose, he actually has no idea that you think he might be an adult in a child's body. And even less of an idea that such a thing will eventually be true for him -- the Echo for that has already taken hold.]

[ Marina held out her hand, smiling brightly - as polite as she can be. ]

[The handshake will be brief but firm, and the bright smile is definitely returned.]

I hope you had a good journey here?

[ They didn't really have a journey but shhh? ]

Ah, it was pretty easygoing really.

[Bright and open... this is kind of Winter's weakness, but she has to get better at it sometime. When Rose approaches, she takes a breath and smiles, taking the offered hand and shaking it.]

Winter Adamas. A little off-balance, a little nervous, but I'm mostly okay... just need to get used to the time change. Pleased to meet you, ma'am.

You'll be staying here for a while, then?

That's my plan, yes. I want to make sure nothing else happens. Nobody else has to die... [She shakes her head.] Sorry, I'm thinking about "work" when I told myself I was going to try to relax a little.

Anyway, I didn't really want to find out how much I'd be hazed for trying to go to college in Locke or Vegas, so I'm putting that off for now - I'm finding myself with a lot of time on my hands, and exploring the city seems like a good way to occupy it.
