Where: The museum that is attached to the town-hall of Füssen, specifically the Kaisersaal.
What: Mingle and happy welcome!

Through the usual channels, the mayor of Füssen has invited any and all numbered - no matter if they are only visiting for the evening/weekend and actually reside in Locke or Vegas or if they are staying for longer - to attend a little reception at the Kaisersaal in the town museum which is attached to the townhall.

Aka this snazzy room just with the chairs grouped around tables and no stage, though four musicians play quartets on a low podium at the side of the room. It's a very distinguished affair don't screw it up, you can do it, numbered! No, we don't know who believes that, either.

Mingle and eat and have fun!

And a note: Drinks are free! But the youngsters will get carded, and alcohol like beer will only be served to 16+ people, while spirits and other higher percentage booze will only be served to 18+ people.

It's nice to meet you, Toushirou.

[His behaviour and strength in combination with his appearance offsets her a bit, and after a moment she adds:] Are you as young as you look? [After all her mother has been telling her all kinds of things, and to a small degree also her sister; and of course internet and news...]

[That manages to get a slight headtilt from him.] Unless I look older than twelve, then yes. [He's used to being assumed a bit younger than what he is, as he's below average in size. Rose's question honestly confuses him a bit. Why would she ask that?]

[No, Rose, he actually has no idea that you think he might be an adult in a child's body. And even less of an idea that such a thing will eventually be true for him -- the Echo for that has already taken hold.]

You seem older than twelve.

[She'll offer him a chair and draw one for herself to get rid of the height difference.] Did you come here with someone then, or alone? If you came alone, you'll have to pretend that you came with one of the adults if you want to stay for long, rules are kind of strict here on younger minors out alone late at night.

[Yeah, that's about the way it goes, people assume he's about ten from his looks . . . and then remark on how he acts like a little old man. And this was before he'd started getting Echoes.

[Eliminating the height difference is appreciated, even if none of the appreciation shows on his face. He sits with perfect posture, not because of any sense of propriety or formality, but because this also negates some height difference. No he's not sensitive about this. Shush.]

I can do that. I know most of the people here, anyway. [Maybe hang around with Lyall or something; he knows he's seen the man stopping to talk to various people and he's somebody Toushirou can stand to be around.]

Sweet. I would hate to have someone send you away or call your parents when it gets to ten on the clock.

So how long have you been [a vague gestures. She's still not sure what to call them.] special?

[Yeah, something like that would . . . be pretty awkward. You know, considering how he got here and that his legal guardian can't travel the same way he did . . . But. Details.

[His brow furrows a little at the term. He doesn't really like it, either, but it's . . . Well probably the best they've got right now.] It'd be about . . . a year and a half.

[merchants]

...It's been going on for that long?

[She had thought that it were a few months - since the beginning of the year, perhaps, or a bit longer.]

[He just shrugs.] We weren't exactly advertising things. [Which had been a lot easier before Wise Snake woke up; there's no hiding that weird supernatural stuff happens now.]

[merchants]

....I see why you wouldn't have.

Do you still live in Locke City?

[icy_heavens]

[A big part of that had also been the corrupt cops out to kill them, of course. More of them may have opened up otherwise.

[He nods at the question.] Just came over here to see if anything besides the light has happened yet.

[merchants]

Not that I know of, though there are stories of strange sightings. I don't think there's anything behind that, though, it's like the people who think that they've seen the Holy Mary.

[She shrugs.]

[icy_heavens]

[He frowns a little.] Strange sightings are how it starts everywhere; the giant monsters just come at the end. It might not be smart to just dismiss everything so casually.

[... Yeah, you totally sound twelve, Toushirou.]

[She sighs.] I just hopes that this place will stay safe. It's so sweet.
