WHO: Raye Satterfield, Saretha Kaiser, witnesses and anyone who wants to observe
WHEN: Sunday evening. The 15th
WHERE: A section of the Dead District far away from the Thunder Compound and LSR clinic
WHAT: Saretha Kaiser, eager to attempt to trigger more Echoes by recreating events from her past life, has challenged Raye Satterfield to a duel. Raye, eager to feed Saretha a knuckle sandwich, has accepted.
WARNINGS: Violence, strong language, grievous scenery abuse. You know what? Let's just go with Warning: Kill la Kill.
Alright, this was the place. Raye stood amid the emptied out buildings in an abandoned part of the Dead District, far from the compound that Thunder Corp had started building up after the aliens' arrival. She had come dressed for a fight too, in her living black and red school uniform, and had her arms crossed as she waited.
"Are you certain this is the best course of action?" Senketsu finally broke the silence, glancing upward at his wearer.
"Course I am. You heard all that crap she was talking." Raye grumbled, looking around again. Where the hell was she anyway?
"Perhaps. However, that Kamui she was wearing troubles me. If Saretha has managed to master wearing it, you may find yourself at a serious disadvantage if you fight her."
Raye paused, frowning at that thought. She remembers full well how strong she and Senketsu were in that first fight. It's a huge difference between the power they had now....
But even if that's the case.
"Yeah, well, I can't just back out now."
"I see. So you are determined to see this through to the end."
"Yeah." Besides Saretha's attitude, a part of her wanted to see for herself just how strong her "rival" was. Those past-life memories had haunted her since they first appeared in her mind, and she wanted to see how she matched up not just against Saretha Kaiser, but against Matoi Ryuko. The girl she'd apparently been once. "No going back now."
"... Then in that case, I will lend you what strength I can as always."
"... Thanks, Senketsu."
So they're both on the same page. Now, there's nothing left to do but wait for all Hell to break loose.

The Fight!

"It's good to see you've shown yourself!" she says, her voice louder than normal, almost thundering in the abandoned area. It might still be a good time for theatrics, but it's also a time she doesn't really have to play "nice," either. Finally.
She stops and slams the sword down before her. "I expect a lot from someone who fought the snakes and lived, so you know. As it is, you've seen fit to treat me as an enemy from the start, so here's hoping this satisfies you, Raydeisha Satterfield!"
A slight, but notable dig.
Take note: She's been paying more attention to you than you know, Raye.

Turning, she shifts her stance, unfolding her arms and planting one hand on her hip.
"Me? Heh! You're the one who kept me waiting, I was starting to think you were gonna chicken out!" ... And then Saretha does the thing. Raye grimaces noticeably and casts a worried look around, as if checking to make sure nobody else heard that, oh my god. When she speaks up next, her voice has gone from cocky shouting to frustrated hiss. "What, you been checking up on me or something?"
There's no way she used that name on the Network.

Junketsu felt the presence of his opposite, as well. His gnawing, ever present hunger seemed all the more lit up around the other Kamui. But Saretha is able to keep it quelled, for the time being.
"One should know well what they are dealing with when facing a perceived enemy, Satterfield!"
Battle was just like business, she's been finding. Know what you're dealing with. Make them sweat. And when the time is right... strike.
"But I don't believe you came here to monologue, so lets save further preamble, shall we?"
Her free hand went to the clasps on her left arm, flicking them. Three needles beneath the sleeve jam themselves into her flesh, drawing forth blood that quickly flows through the fibers of her uniform. There's an eruption of power, and...

As the armor settles itself into place on Saretha's body, power seems to almost crackle and swell around her for several moments. She swings the katana around, not yet advancing and awaiting her opponent.
"Now, show me that same power that fought those monsters in March, and saw fit to stand up to this uniform's former wearer!"

So, she thought she was gonna intimidate her by doing some digging and trying to get under her skin. Raye grits her teeth, tightening her grip on her weapon.
"I'll keep that in mind." She growls, narrowing her eyes. "Let's get this show on the road, already."
Despite her confidence, she still raises an arm against the explosion of power from Junketsu's transformation, and the shockwave that hits her pushes her back half a step. When she lowers her arm, it's already done, and she finds herself staring across at the very same armor from her Echoed memories.
"Let's go, Senketsu." Raising her own arm, she bites down on the pin in her glove and yanks the pin free with her teeth. Stars flare up around her and Senketsu bloats up as usual, chomping down on her and snapping into place in his transformed state. Damnit, still like this... she'd just have to make do.
"I will try to regulate our power as best I can, but you will still have no more than seven minutes to conclude this battle."
"Better not waste any time then." The ground is already rumbling and the air stirring around them, kicking up even stronger winds as the willpower made manifest by the two transformed Kamuis clash together.
Without any further talk, she makes the first move, rushing across the field and swinging her Blade in a powerful but clumsy attack.

She lets Raye come to her. Her stance shifts defensively, and she easily catches the scarlet blade with her own blade one. Power and air surge out between them, but Saretha just uses this as a good opportunity to speak face-to-face.
"Are you trying to insult my intelligence?! This is all you deem fit to show me of your Kamui's power?!"
To punctuate this she then pushes forward, attempting to put her weight and strength into pushing her blade down against Raye's, trying to throw her back. She doesn't do this lightly, and with as much force as she can muster.
That's quite a lot, really.

She grips the Scissor Blade's handle with both hands, trying to push back against Saretha. ... Unfortunately, she doesn't get to fire back at Saretha's jab before the force of that counterstroke hits her like a truck. Her boots dig into the ground, tearing up asphalt as she goes skidding back, struggling to maintain her balance until her back hits the wall of a building, jarring a few chips of stone loose.
"Raye, your opponent is significantly more powerful than you are."
"Just stay quiet and let me handle this." Both hands gripping her Blade tightly, she pushes off from the wall and charges forward again with a yell, apparently deciding that a direct attack would have to work better the second time.

Observers!

But she wasn't going to let this stop her from doing her job. Saretha wanted her to observe and take note of whatever was going on in the fight, and she'd do that.
And in the process, try not to be distracted by the glowing particles that constantly danced in her vision]

[Looking around, Rakka found another person watching the fight and made her way over.]
Hey, uh, what's going on?

[Amy looked up, turning her head towards Rakka]
Oh... I'm here to observe the fight for Miss Kaiser.
no subject
Observe for... What, that woman wanted you to watch them fight or something?

[Amy looks back at the battle... by now, both of them are transforming. Which causes Amy's eyes to widen... she saw the energy around their, err, "outfits", same as she did the strange particles, as a kind of harsh, red glow. But in Raye's case, she saw something different from Saretha as well...]

He set his invisible sword against the roof, with its tip on the ground, the handle clasped in both of his hands, watching the streets below as... two scantily clad women duked it out. Not wanting to draw attention to himself and his understandable inclination to watch, Arthur just remained still in order to make it seem like he was getting nothing at all from this.]

Oh, Saretha and Raye must be playing a game!
That sounds exactly right!

[She should... she should tell them, shouldn't she?]
Actaully, they're fighting.

That doesn't sound safe.

[Roxy ambles over as she delivers this information.]

[Amy says that a little bit less confidently as she focuses back on taking down details about the fight]
