[ he really should be asleep by now, and it's obvious he needs it by how exhausted he sounds, but he has to get rid of this particular urge first. it's been bothering him since the adrenaline (and chaos) finally died down. ]

... Can anyone else summarize their day in two words. I'll start.

[ a meaningful pause. ]

[ ... keith did say he can control wind, didn't he? ivan pulls away from the other man once the wind around them has gotten stronger, looking around them to make sure nothing's about to fall off and break just yet. ]

—Keith? You said it only happens once you're stressed out, right?

[ now ivan has to find a way to chill him out. ]

Um, yes. It usually doesn't happen... otherwise...

[ Uh oh. Guess who just figured out that he's the one who's causing this problem inside the house? Of course, that just makes Keith panic more, and the wind becomes stronger as a result since he doesn't know how to control it whatsoever.

This isn't good. ]

[ well, okay. stuff are being lifted off the tables now and junk, that's not good. if keith panics some more, it might get even worse. ]

Don't panic, okay?

[ Deep breaths, Keith. Slowly, the wind starts to die down, and John bounds into the room, confused by what is going on. ]

I-I will try my best.

[ that seems to be working so far... ]

Maybe count from one to ten?

A-alright.

[ One, two, three... As he counts, John comes and sits by his feet, clearly worried about his master. Slowly but surely, however, the wind is dying down. ]

You're doing fine. It's... almost gone by now.

[ soon enough, it'll have completely disappeared. he's glad john popped up. his presence is bound to be a source of comfort for keith. ]

[ In the end, what makes it subside is a desire to keep both Ivan and John safe from harm. Keith would never forgive himself if he did anything to hurt either of them, and it's with that thought that the wind stops. He sinks to his knees then, completely and utterly exhausted by the effort. As it is, he's barely aware of John licking his face, he's that tired. ]

[ ivan crouches by his side to see how he's doing. that was quite the ordeal and he imagines it's only the first one out of many, considering how their lives have changed now. ]

... Are you okay?

Yes... I am alright. I am sorry I've made such a mess of things.

[ Right now it felt as though that was his lot in life. Keith droops a little at the thought. ]

You don't have to apologize. Whatever this is... this isn't your fault.

[ it's all because of locke and all the weird shit happening to them. ]

But it's my power... and I can't control it. What if I cause someone serious harm?

[ He'll never forgive himself. ]

... You can't harm someone even if you tried. It's not something you'd ever do.

[ ivan has known keith long enough to believe this to be true. ]

[ Instead of protesting further, Keith leans forward to rest his head against Ivan's shoulder, drawing comfort from his presence. John, in the meantime, is trying to sandwich himself in between them. ]

I... I will try not to. I promise you.

You don't have to try. I know it's something you'll never allow to happen.

[ when keith does so, ivan merely just wraps one arm around him, keeping the other free so he could pet john at the same time. it feels like this is going to happen a lot now, but he's sure he doesn't want to see keith cry ever again. ]

... I'll show you something, if you promise not to freak out.

[ For a long moment he stays there just like that, unmoving, until he takes the time to consider Ivan's comment. There's something that he wants to show him? Slowly he lifts his head up, curiosity outweighing his concerns for the time being. ]

What is it that you wish to show me? I will do my best not to panic.

[ ivan would really rather not do this, if he's being honest, but keith had been brave enough to share his issues, so he figures it's only fair. he doesn't know if it'll even work but—the more he thought about it, the more scared he got. it's now or never, it feels like.

the blue glow is new, he's never noticed that before, but it's too late to stop it by the time he realizes it's there. in the next second, it isn't ivan right in front of keith anymore but an exact replica of john. this one looks a bit more ashamed than the original, which just looks confused as hell (did keith get a new dog? hello? barks?).

ivan doesn't say anything though. he only waits. ]

[ The fact that he, for some reason, felt a pulse due to that blue glow and Ivan's transformation isn't something that Keith gives much thought to currently, though he may later. Instead, he finds himself staring at the space where Ivan used to be, and what's currently in it. For a moment he seems completely confused at what's happened, but then his face splits into a wide grin. ]

Shapeshifting--? That's incredible! Look at how adorable you are!

[ that only seems to increase ivan's embarrassment levels. he lifts up a paw to hide half his face which he's sure to be flushing red thanks to keith. adorable? what is he even talking about? ]

... Please stop saying such things. This is because of John.

[ john is the adorable one here. ]

But it is true! You really are very cute, Ivan.

[ Does Keith realise the connotations of what he's saying?

Nope. Not even once. ]

[ all too quickly, the blue glow pops up once more—there's a brief flicker of the kanji for shinobu, then it's gone—and ivan's back, still hiding his face with his hand. ]

I'm not that cute.

N-no, no, that isn't why I'm saying it at all!

[ Keith frowns, and shakes his head. ]

It is all you, Ivan!

[ ivan tries to be brave and peeks at keith through his fingers. sometimes he can't handle this guy... ]
