hey, so the mine trip was a bust.
some chick hacked some emails and shit, and basically found some conversations that said the Sage of Earth of whatever was a total hoax, but that Thunder corp was specifically searching for something called "Target 1" underground.
considering how dumb it would be to just start digging tunnels and drilling everywhere, we assumed they'd be using the mines to search.

well, we were wrong. (big surprise)

i don't know if anyone ever really officially reported their findings or whatever.
basically, there were those weird blackfuzzy hairy things and it legit looked like they were on drugs.
that was about all we found, because everyone getting those weirdass pulses.
i sure do love when all our leads run dry!!!!!!!

as for happy funtime karson updates, i finally passed out after staying awake for an entire goddamn month.
and completely hypothetically speaking and not linked to finally sleeping or any pulses i may or may not have had,
i have a question.

anyone remember dying?
like, legit dying, you are dead and gone and there's no way you're coming back through magical superpowers and it's probably your fault that you died?

EDIT: according to people who can't be classified as legally insane because of lack of sleep, there was a buzzing sound in the mines.

okay im all about the friendship and being loyal and doing everything for people and shit,

i'm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing
since an intelligent enemy is dangerous
but an enemy that might hurt you through casual blunder is also dangerous, albeit in a different direction

they've got mindcontrol, mysteries, and money, i guess.
and somehow they have power over the water supply or something-- though that was really fucking dumb too.
if they want to get rid of us, just put something in the water supply that makes us all kill ourselves or something.
not laugh a lot and then regain more magical powers.

i feel like we've got the better chance of coming out on top once we figure things out.

it does seem rather idiotic to help that along
since some of us seem to be getting back skills that could make us more of a threat than we currently are
and while i admit the laughing thing could possibly be used to pinpoint us it seems rather haphazard and not well thought out

for one thing that would be more effective if we like wanted to catch one kinda?
and less effective if you wanted to use it to fend off more than one creature

machine gun harpoons.
i feel like it's hard for a monster to effectively strike when it's got a fucking harpoon through the chest.

i am not sure that's really a viable thing
also that may be just as dangerous as a gun below ground
