[ Any of the Numbered who have set foot outside today are likely to have seen some of the rather unique posters plastered around on every available building/lamppost/fence/beloved family pet. Observe the glitter-saturated horror. ]



[ Y E A H. Regardless of which echo boundary they're in, the notices are everywhere. Some lucky Numbered may even have had one shoved into their mailbox! GOSH. There's also an address for a weddng chapel in Vegas (confusing many Fussen locals in particular) and a note that masks are mandatory and will be provided to people who don't already have one. How considerate!

C'mon, Numbered Specials. Party with Badri and forget all the horrid stressful things that are happening. ]

[Well, the much more festive Rakka had noticed the woman from afar, and had decided for whatever reason to come over. Her angel costume certainly looked festive, besides Saretha's gown.]

Hey, Saretha! That's a really nice dress you have.

[purestambition]

[Well, then. At the very least, their recent discussions seemed to be making some inroads compared to where they might have been in the summer when Saretha had a sword to Raye's neck. She gives her a polite nod.]

It wasn't terribly much, but... This sort of party is not generally what you would call my sort of thing.

[When her friends weren't being beaten to a pulp, Rakka was a pretty amicable person, actually. She was pretty relieved that Saretha had made it clear that they were on the same side now.]

Really? [Well, she could believe that. Saretha was more of the high class type.] I think I like this more than the really fancy parties I've been to.

[Hey, so long as her friends aren't trying to pick a fight in the first place~]

Growing up, my family was never exactly the "fun" sort, I suppose you could say.

[It did give her the experience to know that a party was going to suck or not. Although, that was mostly why she decided to get drunk those few times.

She frowns, but tries to shake it off. She was here to be happy, after all.] Uh, have you seen Raye around here?

[Saretha's gaze flickers to Rakka at the mention of Raye, and then she gazes out at the crowd.]

Satterfield... no, I do not yet believe I have seen her.

[Luckily, this being before... certain run ins prior.] Are you anticipating her?

Uh huh. [A nod, her tone hopeful.] She was feeling really down, so I convinced her to come with me.

[Her expression flickered.] I hope she shows up...

[Saretha's eyes widen for a fraction of a second, and she tilts her head to one side.]

Huh.

I suppose she will be around to yell at me should she realize I'm here, at some point, if she does.

[About a very specific subject, but she'll just leave that one hanging.]

Heh. I guess she would do that. Don't take it the wrong way. I think she sort of likes you.

[It's her way of expressing herself. Well, it's either that or punching you through a brick wall.

The point goes right over Rakka's head, so she continues.]

Either way, I hope she gets here soon. If you see her, can you tell her I'm looking for her?

[In an almost uncharacteristically undignified moment, Sarehta practically snorts at the concept of Raye liking her. Still, she chuckles.]

Well... I suppose that is one potential way of viewing things.

[She's just not entirely sure she'd bed money on it, and they are in Vegas - you can bet on just about everything here.]

If I see her... hm, should I get the opportunity, I could do just that. [And Raye isn't too busy growling at her.]

You should give it a chance! I bet when you two aren't fighting, you could get along if you really wanted.

[Always trying to help her friends, that's Rakka for you. It helped that she'd never been told what Saretha's connection with Raye truly was.]

Thanks, that means a lot to me. [Heh. More than Saretha likely knows. Rakka smiled, just a little sheepish.] Uh, enjoy the party, okay?

"If we wanted," being the key word.

[Truth be told, even if Raye was a rather abrasive girl with a loud mouth, as far as she's seen from her end, there's probably a time and a place where "getting along" could have been something that would happen. Maybe. But with their current circumstances...

She's just hoping running into Raye here won't incite a riot.

Still, she gives Rakka a mild nod. Even if she's not here to have fun, or so she says.]

Of course. [A beat.] Try and keep an eye out around yourself, too.

[It was a little sad, but Rakka trusted the two of them more than they likely trusted themselves.

Perhaps that was just her overwhelming desire for things to get better for everyone, and for her friends to just get along. She could dream for a better tomorrow, right?]

I will, thanks. [She nods and begins to walk away.] Enjoy the dance! I-I mean, if you want to.

[A year ago, that sort of idealism is the sort of thing Saretha would laugh and roll her eyes at. That she doesn't shows that maybe, just maybe, she's changed a little.

Still, she'd be a little surprised at that trust.]
