But the insistent repetition of the number in his mind since midnight has been bothering him -- it's far too long to be a phone number, but it feels like it's something he was supposed to remember, somehow. [There's a slightly longer uncomfortable lag, since Jack is now faced with the fact that he knows this number, but not the person on the other end. Not remembering things is not a great sign. The only consolation is that this 'Bakura' doesn't seem to know who he's talking to either...]

I don't know. It's been in my head a while. But no one's ever responded when I've texted before.
