3rd Vision [Video/iPad, Wednesday morning]

[The big-eared tabby-and-white kitten is back. Those of you at the mine might have seen him there, mostly clinging to Alex but occasionally bolting around like a lost, unhappy little thing in a very overwhelming sort of circumstance. Which, y'know, he was.

He still looks a little overwhelmed and unhappy, but he's here.]

So, uh. No one has said anything about the mine... thing... and what the sage of the earth said. Sahhu'auio ur-au-- I mean-- does anyone believe him? Is there actually a jewel down there somewhere? Or was it all hruiss aafaui?

I mean... if we believe it... is anyone sauhhu ur-reh? I mean-- I mean, is anyone going auwsshui’f hwo again? To look?

[He looks even more nervous at that idea.]

I... I think so. Somebody else said, why tell us anything, when they could've just brought us down and then attacked, right? So... so either there's something there and the attack was to stop him from telling us more. Or. Or that's another trap.

[He might be a kitten, but he's not too stupid, at least.]

We won't know unless we look. Right?

Something... something makes me think they don't even have to resort to underhanded methods like that to get to us, either. There's no reason to give us that kind of information and then let us live, if what we're up against is so powerful.

[ He takes a breath. Smart people making stupid decisions for the right reasons. ]

I think we should go back.

Okay. Okay. So. I guess we need to... decide when and who and stuff. I should be in, since. You know. Invisible and see in the dark, and stuff.

[Even if it made him visibly nervous to consider. But he'd be useful, and he wants to be more than just a housecat, somehow.]

I want to try and find out if there's still anything down there. You're really brave, but I don't want something like the last time to happen, even if it's just one of us.

I thought that's why it'd be fvau if I went. I'd be harder to attack and... and stuff like that.

[argents]

[ He's no expert but he's pretty sure there's a special circle of hell reserved for people who send kittens into coalmines. EXCUSE HIS FUSSING. ]

No, you're right. It's just easy to worry right now. Is there any kind of plan for this?

[Fussing excused. Gomez doesn't really notice it exactly, anyway.]

I... uh. Don't think so? I think a couple people were talking about it, though. I don't think there's a real plan, though. Maybe there should be one?

Probably. Nothing too crazy, but I just get the feeling that those things can sense us. Um, like the people who have numbers.

Really? Well, that's... not so good. Even invisible ones?

[Because that makes him feel a lot less brave about the whole caves thing. Vhai.]

I... well, I don't know for sure. But I wish there was a way to go with you, because I think I can sense them back.

[visionarykitten]

I don't know if I can make you invisible, too... but maybe sensing them will help us avoid them. If you wanted to go, too.

[Between the two of them, surely they could figure it out, right?]

That'd really be something else, huh? Maybe one day you'll be able to! We can't know for sure with how these powers appear. But I guess for now I feel like we should really try to protect everyone the best we can, so... I'll do it.

[ If not him, it'd just be somebody else, after all. ]

Okay. Okay, then. I, uh. I have to do the thing at the museum first? I'm knocking over statues! But after that, we can both go.

[Nervous, but also pleased. He's going to be useful!]

Knocking over the statues...? [ Cats. Good call. ] Alright. Be careful, okay? We can talk more about it afterwards.

Okay. I'll um. Call you, I guess? On this thing?

[A paw comes up to pat the screen. Someplace on the screen that doesn't actually do anything, thankfully.]

[argents]

[ Oh cat paw on screen give him a minute because adorable. ]

Anytime! You know numbers now, right?

Yeah! I, uh. I'm not so great at reading, and all, but I can at least match up the numbers in the right order.

[His ears skew with embarrassment at the reminder.]

So I'll put in yours, and that'll make me talk to you. Right?

[argents]

That's it! Just like you're doing now, except it'll just be me. Sound okay?

[He pauses, then adds,]

That means yes. Or okay, I guess!

[ A little laugh. ]
