Who: Saretha, Amy, Raye, and a robotic cheesepuff
What: A discovery
Where: The orbital elevator, Neuschwanstein
When: March 31st
Amy frowned as she hugged Haro to her chest. She, Saretha, Raye, and said diminutive little machine were currently rising through the air inside the orbital elevator, with Saretha's connections granting them permission to do so.
The entire structure was swaying, so it seemed some kind of disaster was on the horizon, and there was potentially not much more time to see what other secrets the tower held. Saretha had asked Amy to bring Haro along, as Neil's former companion was from the same world.
Nevertheless, Amy couldn't help but feel incredibly nervous. The tower was swaying, which meant she, Raye, and Saretha were all in danger. But her discussion with Saretha days before still weighed heavily on her mind. She had been saved so many times by others... now was the time for her to start being brave.
Amy just wished she was better at hiding her fear than she was.

She's probably just a little bit crazy.
Still, this trip has a point, and she wants it completed before this damned thing topples to the Earth. This facility holds the last remnants of the technology left behind by those from Neil Dylandy and Eugen Lambert's world, barring whatever the US military salvaged of Dylandy's Gundam Dynames after he died battling the shellfish monster in Las vegas last September.
Well, that... and the little robot in Amy's arms.
There's a connection there, and she'll be damned if she doesn't seek out something. There's a lot in this elevator that hasn't been seen to, with all the other distractions the Numbered have had. Chief among them one she's still sore from over the weekend...
Regardless. Hopefully with Haro here, they can narrow something down. Something useful. She gets the feeling they're desperately in need of it.

Well, this whole thing feels really fuckin' safe alright. Even standing here in the elevator she can feel the stupid thing swaying like a tree in a stiff breeze. It's at least a small comfort that if it does topple over she can at least fly out of there, and probably with Saretha and Amy in tow for that matter, albeit one that gets even less comforting the more aware she becomes of the size of it and of just how far the debris would reach. She grimaces, shoving the thought out of her mind.
She's quiet for most of the trip up, leaning against one of the elevator walls with her arms folded in the leather jacket she's wearing over her Kamui. She stands there in silence for several minutes before deciding to speak up with something immensely helpful.
"Anybody else feel like this fuckin' thing's gonna go over any second now?"

Suddenly, Haro's eyes flash and his wings flap, as the elevator comes to a stop. "Here! Here!" it says, as the doors open.
Amy looks up a bit in confusion. She knew Haro was more than a mere machine, but that seemed unusually aware. "Um, I guess this is our stop," she said, finally.
no subject
She levels a look at Raye, a look which says, 'I needed someone else to help keep her safe.'
As they come to a stop, and Haro pipes up, Saretha pushes off her place in the elevator and nods to both of them. "Come along. We should make this as quick as possible, regardless."
no subject
She catches that look, as well as the meaning behind it. It's a feeling she understands and she answers with a small nod. 'Don't worry. I got your backs.'
"Don't worry about it." She says to Amy and then steps away from the wall when the elevator reaches the top and heads over to the door before it opens up. She reaches into a coat pocket, slipping one of the two Scissor Blades into her hand just in case. Lily had said she'd run into a couple of those space-freaks up here. "Better get this over with. In and out quick, right?"

As Amy walked forward, however, Haro suddenly leaped from her arms. Amy's eyes widened. "H-Haro! What are you-"
The rotund machine began rolling away from them. "This way! This way!"
no subject
Or maybe she'd just find it amusing.
As they exit, she eyes Raye and the Scissor Blade in particular. At least she'd come prepared, and she was... far more prepared now. That much is good, if nothing else. Still, she follows along, blinking as Haro suddenly starts bouncing off away from them.
The tower shifts around them, and her jaw clenches, but she holds her footing. "Follow. He obviously has a better idea of what's in here than any of us."
no subject
She doesn't get to dwell on the ramifications of that kind of responsibility for long though as the talking robot beachball Amy had brought along suddenly rolls away. She grits her teeth, both from the tower shaking and from Saretha barking orders. She can't help it, okay? Even if they're on good terms, it still bugs her to get bossed around like that.
"Uh huh. Let's just follow the yapping basketball's lead." She rolls her eyes a bit, but she starts off after Haro anyway.

Haro ended up leading them through numerous corridors, until they finally came to mechanical doors. Haro rolled right up to it, before crying out "Up! Up!"
"... A-ah...!" Amy scrambled over, picking up Haro. As soon as she did that, the little machine deployed its arms, which it used to open the doors. They soons opened... revealing a large hangar. And inside...

Sure, using this as an ulterior motive towards that may seem insane, but she's pressed for time here. Cut her some slack.
The doors slide open as Amy fumbles with Haro, and as the lights flick on, and they stroll inside... she finds herself stopping short.
"Well, then. It would appear my hunch was correct."
And in far many more ways than she had anticipated.

She just grunts when Amy corrects her regarding Haro but follows the robot's lead into the place. When they step out into the hangar, she squints against the bright light, blinking to clear her eyes a little and then.
"Holy shit!" She stares at the fight before her, taking a few more steps into the room. "How in the fuck did nobody find this?"
no subject
"They're like... Neil's Gundam," she said, her voice distant. It was at that moment that Amy realized just what she was feeling... and her gaze turned absolutely serious. The memory of an echo she'd received and decided she couldn't do anything with came flooding back to the forefront of her mind.
"I need to get inside!" she decided. "I think I can pilot one of them!"

She waves a hand to the metallic basketball in Amy's arms. "If anything would know where such equipment would be, it would be Neil Dylandy's navigator, would it not?"
Her brows shoot up though, as Amy makes that claim. She stares a her a good moment, and then... smirks.
"I expect you're probably right. We'll need to figure out a way to get these down--"
Another lurch of the tower, and Saretha actually stumbles. "Quickly."
Reminder that Senketsu can be heard by anyone following the Heart Tree fight.
Her thoughts are interrupted by Amy blurting out her claim that she can fly one of the machines and she finally tears her eyes away to stare at her.
"What? How do you figure th--" the tower's sudden jolt of movement cuts her off, making her stagger a few steps with a curse.
She recovers herself when the shaking stops, and Senketsu blinks, gaze shifting from the machines to their companions before he speaks aloud.
"If there is a way to do that at all. This structure is becoming more unstable with each moment."

Haro chirped in affirmation, and helped Amy into the machine. It took some time, including some effort to get into the machine, but eventually, she managed to both power it up and get it to raise its arms.
Amy was ecstatic. It felt almost like putting on a glove, which made her smile to herself. "It's working...! I can't believe this...!"
no subject
Another lurch, much more than before.
"...hn."
She looks up as the machine begins to work, and... actually. In spite of the setting, Amy's reaction causes her to smile briefly. Something she tries to hide almost immediately.
"Perhaps we should do that sooner, rather than later."
no subject
"Fuck."
She looks up, watching the robot start to move, raising an eyebrow. Okay, it's actually pretty cool that she got an Echo telling her how to do that. She glances toward Saretha just in time to catch the end of that little smile of hers and can't help a crooked little grin of her own. Just for a second though before she turns back to the problem at hand.
"We can fly, maybe we can drag one back down or something."
Senketsu doesn't even miss a beat. "I think that sounds like an incredibly ill-advised plan."
She glowers down at the Kamui, who's still focused on the robot. "It's just an idea, okay!"
no subject
Amy frowned, and looked at her display. "... Haro tells me I can fly out of here from the hangar, but that may mean exposing it to the vacuum of space. Which means, I'd have to go down separately..."
Her expression and her tone both turned deadly serious. "Do... do you both trust me to do that?"
no subject
Another shift, and this time it's enough that Saretha is flung from her feet. She's able to right herself and land back on those feet, but she drops to one knee. "We may not have time for that debate, either."
no subject
"Son of a bitch, SHIT!" She rubs her head, looking up at the robot. "Yeah, I don't think we got time for trust here anymore! If you can fly that thing out, then go for it!"
no subject
A chirp from Haro caught her attention, and she turned towards him, and then to a screen her pulled up.
"... Haro says this machine can handle it, but it'll be rocky," she said. "Don't worry about me, I'll do everything I can! Get out of the hangar, and I'll open the elevator."
There was a pause, and she smiled. "Trust me... Aila may have done this for fun and games, but... she was good at what she did. If I'm even half the fighter she was, I'll make it through this no problem. Besides... what's a thing like an atmosphere going to do to a girl who needs to make it someone, hm?"
