fifteenth feather [Video/action] - Doppelganger
[The video flickers to life, and it shows Rakka's face. She appears to be in Neuschwanstein. An odd sort of trend for people on the network recently, making posts while at the castle grounds. It was likely to not raise any particular warning signs, unless you know what this coincidence probably means.
Rakka brushed some hair from her face. It didn't help to improve her fairly disheveled look at all, and in fact might have made it worse. All in all, she didn't seem to be happy, or even smiling. Hey, was that a bruise?]
Hey, it's Rakka. [There just wasn't as much energy in her tone as usual.] It seems like everyone around here's been losing their minds. Apparently it means that there's clones of all of us running around... but, maybe it just means that things are getting even worse. In a way, that would make sense, right?
[But, honestly, she wasn't sure what was happening. She'd been thinking about what Emi had said to her, about her apparently showing the vampire some kindness. She wouldn't lie about that, would she...? What would she even have to gain, except for a moment's confusion on the Haibane's part which could be a little funny for someone else...]
Dammit... [She whispered with a sigh, expression quickly turning frustrated.] I don't fucking know. It's not like anything in this world makes any sense anyways. It doesn't even matter, does it? [A question that seems to bother her.] I'm trying really hard to figure that out... but I can't.
[And she kills the feed.]

That's better.
[The grip on Rakka's shoulder loosens just enough to be a little less painful, at least no longer at the brink of dislocating it, but still leaving Rakka pinned. Her other hand releases the wing and strokes through the soft feathers before moving to Rakka's back and drifting down her body. A gentle caress in stark contrast to the pressure from her opposite hand. After all, punishment is only one half of keeping a pet in line and as good as Raye is at hurting Rakka, she's just as adept at invoking the... opposite sensation.
And sometimes both at once. Like right now.]
I just don't want you exposing yourself to those fakes too much. [She moves back, hovering just a few inches from the shorter girl's face.] I wouldn't want them putting any ideas into your head.

T-thanks...
[This was a cycle Rakka had grown quite accustomed to, and almost comforted by. Pain and pleasure, frequently in equal amounts, and all as Raye wanted. Above all, it was the softer touches that kept Rakka still, so much power but still holding back. Rakka didn't dare to move her hands from her sides as this happened. She wouldn't, not without Raye's word first.]
...Okay, I wont. [Their faces so close, Raye could likely feel the Haibane's breath. Warm, restrained. Her eyes met the taller girl's, but one for a moment.] If they're just fakes... they don't matter.

With Rakka though, it's different. She doesn't have to suffer through any self-importance. With her pet, all she has to do is have her fun.]
Rakka, [Her tone is condescending, slightly amused. Her hand shifts from Rakka's shoulder and rests on her throat just enough to cut that breath off a little bit and she leans in to kiss her. It's not a gentle kiss, rough, possessive and purely physical. Her other hand continues to wander, slips past fabric. She smiles as she moves back.] None of you matter.

It was love. Or... some facsimile thereof.
Panic reoccurred as Rakka found her airway blocked almost completely. It was so easily done for someone like Raye. She shuddered into the kiss that followed, knowing full-well that Raye's hand was straying, but unable to stop it. She could merely follow in the kiss until it stopped, leaving Rakka dizzy from lack of air.]
We... don't?

Life had been cruel to Rakka, but that was simply the natural order of things. The world is a cruel place, and the higher you go up the food chain the more cruelty there is to find, and Raye stood at the very top of that particular castle. If there's one thing Rakka could take solace in... it's that nothing else would be allowed to be that cruel to her again.
What would dare?]
Do you really need to ask a question like that? [She presses closer, tightening the grip around her throat until she has to struggle for even the shallowest breath.] If you disappeared right now, what difference would it make to the world?

Already reeling from a lack of air, another round of useless struggling took over. It was the only thing she could do. She gasped and choked, straining to keep her hazy vision on Raye.]
I...! R-raye...!

If you life ended right here and now, what would change in the world? Who would even care? [She leans forward, resting her forehead against Rakka's in what would be an affectionate gesture if she weren't also absentmindedly strangling her at the same time.] The answer, of course, is that it wouldn't matter at all.

She struggled until it was completely useless. Her eyes stung with tears, further obscuring her vision. Utterly defenseless, Rakka just waited for Raye to be satisfied, or for the lack of air to lead to total unconsciousness.]
