fifteenth feather [Video/action] - Doppelganger
[The video flickers to life, and it shows Rakka's face. She appears to be in Neuschwanstein. An odd sort of trend for people on the network recently, making posts while at the castle grounds. It was likely to not raise any particular warning signs, unless you know what this coincidence probably means.
Rakka brushed some hair from her face. It didn't help to improve her fairly disheveled look at all, and in fact might have made it worse. All in all, she didn't seem to be happy, or even smiling. Hey, was that a bruise?]
Hey, it's Rakka. [There just wasn't as much energy in her tone as usual.] It seems like everyone around here's been losing their minds. Apparently it means that there's clones of all of us running around... but, maybe it just means that things are getting even worse. In a way, that would make sense, right?
[But, honestly, she wasn't sure what was happening. She'd been thinking about what Emi had said to her, about her apparently showing the vampire some kindness. She wouldn't lie about that, would she...? What would she even have to gain, except for a moment's confusion on the Haibane's part which could be a little funny for someone else...]
Dammit... [She whispered with a sigh, expression quickly turning frustrated.] I don't fucking know. It's not like anything in this world makes any sense anyways. It doesn't even matter, does it? [A question that seems to bother her.] I'm trying really hard to figure that out... but I can't.
[And she kills the feed.]

No. I guess they wouldn't. They probably want to get rid of us.
[Her voice softened.] They're probably right.
Action
I don't know one way or another - they're nicer, sure, dunno why. I'm just... worried... that they might decide that, because some of us are quite dangerous, they should get rid of us.
Action
...Do you think they'll try to kill us? If we do something? I guess they might, the Harvents already killed someone.
Action
But maybe... I mean, if we're bad guys, and they're good guys, then it stands to reason.
Action
[No, it's offense.]
...Are we bad guys? Is it that simple?
Action
You know how many people have been bad to us. How the whole world is afraid, and has backed us into a corner.
...Lily is a brute, but she has a point.
Action
[Normal people in Locke, people around the world, even people that were once Numbered that Rakka knew turned on them once they lost their powers. Could Rakka blame them?]
They hurt us, so we have to hurt them back, right? That's what Lily always says.
Action
...even if we have to... kill... those copies of ourselves, right?
[ She lowered her head. ] We have the power to just make the world want to leave us alone. [ If they weren't restrained in these barriers, that would be the power to rule the world. Alas. ]
Action
[Enough to kill everyone that tried to kill them. Just another way in that Rakka wasn't needed.]
So, we kill them and take their place. [A hollow chuckle came out of Rakka.] We really are evil then. That's pretty sick, Marina.
Action
...but I think I'd rather live evil than die good.
Action
Somehow, I knew you'd say that. Maybe... if we just keep doing what we're doing, things will be okay.
Action
[ Who does Marina like anyways? ]
Even violence needs to be applied carefully, if at all possible. All these simple-minded approaches are just going to get us all killed.
Action
[She wrung her hands, nervously.] Someone's already dead, so... can we even stop now?
Action
[ They'd both be hypocrites to deny it. ]
...a shame, that.
Action
[And she was. It wasn't entirely true, but it wasn't completely wrong.]
What? The guy the Harvents murdered?
Action
Action
Have you killed anyone yet?
[Typical conversation topics between friends.]
Action
[ Frankly, Marina was bored as hell. Jasmine couldn't monopolize all her time.
Or maybe she just wanted to tempt fate with Raye. ]
I doubt you're nearly as capable.
Action
[Well, she never doubted for a second that the woman wasn't planning on it.
Was Raye around...? She wondered that nervously, on top of the last statement.]
I-I could kill someone... maybe.
Action
You don't sound so sure.
[ Such a pleasant smile. ]
Do it. Prove it.
Action
Prove it...?
[she looked around the area.]
...Here? Now?
Action
...I don't know who, here, you'd even try to kill.
Action
[It was true. Not even Rakka herself knew who she would will in this area. There was certainly a wide range to choose from, though; there were many faces in the crowd that Rakka had never seen before, which would make it far easier.
Still, she relented, shaking her head.]
I could do it! I can kill someone if I tried. I just... don't want any attention on us yet.
[That's a legitimate concern, right?]
Action
...I'll keep an eye out.
Action
[Inwardly, Raka sighed with relief, glad that her hands would not have to be stained just yet.]
