This is Nick. I don't know how many of you are still on here that know me, but I'm going to cut right to the chase here: I've been working undercover with the mafia for months, trying to get their secrets for the network. And now I finally have something useful.

There's going to be a meeting soon. Albero will be there, along with a large number of high ranking mafia members. I know when, and where, and I know that if we hit it, we stand a good chance of taking them out and making a serious dent in their operation.

I know some of you are going to say that violence isn't the answer. For anyone who wants to try another road, I have a number of recordings of the mafia making plans to frame network members, and of some of the kidnappings that have happened, as well as the location of where the mafia members are getting their modifications. I'll pass them off to someone who wants them, but not until just before the meeting. It's obviously going to blow my cover pretty badly.

I'm going to that meeting. I don't want to do it alone, because I want to make this hurt, and I can't do that by myself. I know I'm not the only one who's been affected by what they've done, and if we want to stop them, to make it so they can't do it to anyone else - this is the best chance we've got.

We need to take it.

[He sounds nervous, and worried, but also determined.]

Are you planning on taking out all people that are present there, or only Albero and those that defend him?

The only one I care about is Albero, and whoever tries to keep us from him. But I have a feeling that's going to be a lot of people there.

So many will survive and tell their comrades who attacked them.

No matter how many of them survive, it's going to be pretty obvious that this was a network strike against the mafia. Taking out everyone there is going to take numbers I'm not sure we'll get.

There is a difference between them knowing that numbered did it, and which of the numbered did it.

[And that is what worries him. He wants to help, but he also has a company and a family and cannot risk being known as a murderous maniac, or whatever the media will paint the attackers - not because he'd be troubled by it himself, but because of what might happen to his wife and employees, and, though far away now, children.

He will try to help in any way that he can, but maybe he'll just not be able to help personally.]

You only need to tell me when and where, and I will be there.

[Emi is not only determined, but it seems she has made up her own mind to go as soon as she saw this message.]

That's why I'll be disguising myself.

[It's worked well for him so far, all of the times he's participated in something very obviously numbered.

He hesitates for only a moment, before his next suggestion.]

You could always come with us, and make sure we get every last one of them.

Probably get yourself into even more trouble. Just keep in touch. I would even suggest you stay here until this actually happens, but I don't want you in more danger of being found out ahead of time.

Thank you. Albero is the biggest concern, but the more people we have, the harder we can hit them.

There is only a limited number of people with my physical build, and both of them [not "all of them", not anymore, and that hurts] I wouldn't want to be blamed in my stead.

Dwarves look rather different from humans. [He's still pondering if he could disguise himself, though.]

Will your venture need additional weapons, or other things like that?

[A pretty grim detective answers the announcement. He's impressed, but already preoccupied thinking about the logistics of how he can help, and how he absolutely cannot.]

There isn't anything I want more than to be there and see Albero get it. Unfortunately, if you've been undercover, you're probably well aware that there's a kill on sight command where I am concerned; they're all too familiar with my face so it goes without saying that I can't be anywhere near you physically if you're going to be successful.

I want you to be successful, so please let me assist with coordination and recon. Do you think you can risk wearing a wire? If things go south, the police are taking me far more seriously these days, and I'm sure I could get help in there if you're worried about numbers.

The more heavy hitters like me, the better. What do we expect, exactly? Any anti-vampire things around?

Probably, yeah. And I will. Don't be surprised if you get check in texts every ten minutes or so.

[He's joking. It'll probably be every half hour or so.]

We can always use weapons. Or I can, anyway. I know other people have more flashy abilities, but mine is, well, using weapons.

Exactly. There'll be a lot of lackeys, and they're most likely going to be modified.

But no, they've never had any anti-vampire stuff before, and as far as I know, that hasn't changed. You're a vampire?

[He switches to video for this, although he makes it private. His cover won't matter much longer, for either the mafia or the police, but still.]

I'll wear a wire, absolutely. I've done it before. But - I'm the supervisor for the homicide department. I'd really rather leave the police out of this as much as possible.

I'd appreciate anything with coordination, though. I didn't - well, I thought it might just be me and one or two others.

[There's a soft huff, somewhere between amused and relieved.]

Thanks, man. We're in a lot better shape, with you on board. I'm pretty sure there's going to be a lot of people with modifications there.

I can stick to the front lines, then, soften them up for everyone else. Nothing's really slowed me down so far.

[Yeah, he's proud of that.]

You have real dirt on them? Stuff that will make this look justified, that will make it look like we're defending ourselves where the government won't, instead of just murdering the people who get on our bad sides?

If you have that and we can make it look good than you absolutely have my blessing. Maybe my help.

I'm goin'. I got a score to settle with those bastards.

I hope you're aware that you could very well doom us in the eyes of the public by taking this route.

Especially since the assumption that killing a few thugs, even Albero himself, is enough to stop them outright is far fetched as it stands.
