how many of you are reincarnated lovers?
if you could specify if you were also tragic and to what degree in your past life thatd be super helpful
im trying to figure out which genres this whole thing isnt trying to play with and romance is a big fat question mark right now
if it does end up being relevant then im going to wash my hands of this whole thing from a creative perspective i swear
what a clunky thing to have to deal with

throw some mythologies that feature malevolent entities with major canine characteristics at me?

Well, there's Norse mythology. Fenrisúlfr, hand-chomper of Týr and slayer of Odin. He's an enormous wolf and one of Loki's sons.

Not so sure about the lovers part, but it's looking like my past life with my girlfriend was kind of tragic. I'm gunning for urban fantasy myself, genre-wise.

id lean heavier on the sci-fi personally

and its not even that interesting of a sci-fi run either its just so disappointing on like every level

You sound like you're trying to analyse this on a meta level. I don't think that's gonna play out very well for most of us.

That said, all my past-life romances were pretty tragic. Kinda happens when you're ambushed and exiled to an alternate dimension and then, uh... Never really come back all the way.

I found out past me is engaged to a weird guy with green hair. But considering he is not here, thank god, I don't think it's much of a problem because he almost ruined my relationship by not existing.

Also super tragic. People died for being in love. Not her. But people.

id be careful about wishing for that kind of thing
usually the only time lovers get reincarnated is because of some huge overblown tragedy
and it doesnt follow them into the next world like only half the time
i think adoption might be a safer idea

If it helps, I don't know how much romance there was, but it seems like whoever I was was married, and the person she was married to has been reincarnated on the network as well. They had children - well, wanted them, but I don't know if they had any. They had a dog.

(Also I'd say look into norse myths but someone already did?)

if no ones been making huge dramatic broadcasts about it then its still possible that its only happening on a tiny infrequent level
which would be great for me
but yeah of course i am
itd be a little silly if you were only looking at situations to borrow parts of the setting and not the people too

i like to pick out overarching themes and motifs early on in things
it gives you a feel for how events are going to flow so you can enjoy the ride on a deeper level
and its fun
