So has anyone actually gotten anything useful out of all of this? Or has it all been just one big, confusing mess that's more trouble than it's worth? It's not like this is making life better for anyone...

[Yeah, someone doesn't sound happy. And he'll say something else in some incomprehensible language. It's rather discordant, and it's full of sharp, short syllables. Definitely not a friendly language. If anyone were to understand the language of the immortals called Undead on Hajime's original world, they'd know he's just admitted to the network that his blood is green...but it's just going to sound like a garbled mess.]

Figured I'd throw mine out there since everyone else is. Not like it's going to do any good to anyone.

It's too bad it'd probably be difficult to learn each other's strange languages. That'd probably be handy for security...

But to answer your question, no, I haven't gotten anything I'd consider useful from this. But I'm not sure if it'd be better to be uninvolved, either, if this is as important as it seems.

I don't really get out of breath anymore. It's not even really difficult to talk when I'm running. Honestly, I don't think that was worth almost suffocating and the if-I-ever-go-to-a-different-doctor woes.

I'm not sure how useful this one would be. It's...missing things. Like there are concepts whoever the language belonged to just didn't care about or understand.

If there's a threat, then I want to fight it...but dealing with some of this is making that difficult.

A sword that is not only absolutely exquisite in its workmanship, but quite functional. Whoever made it definitely understood how to make a weapon that is both beautiful and deadly.

[Of course, he's keeping quiet on the fact that he also gained an ability that allows him to conceal said sword quite nicely. Because of that ability, it almost feels like the sword isn't truly his, more like it is being borrowed from a mysterious place.]

I'm sorry, I hadn't thought of that. I've been fortunate enough to not get anything too difficult. [Yet.] But I think I understand what you mean. It's distracting. Even just focusing on homework has been harder than normal.

Seems to be the order of the day.

Not sure how useful it'll be. It's useful if you want to describe a fight. Amazing for that, really, they've got words and phrases for pretty much any sort of fighting maneuver you could imagine.

But that's it. It's like whoever made the language lived for that and only that. There are a few words for other things, but that vocabulary's much more limited.

So nice of it to not kick in all at once.

You're lucky. The only item I've gotten back is kind of gaudy and difficult to separate myself from.

I do know how to use it, though it is larger than what I was trained with. My father is a fencing instructor and trained all of his children in it.

I would say that lucky would be if I never have to make use of it.

And why can you not separate yourself from what you gained?

Well, there is the sense of smell, I've found that pretty useful. And I should probably talk with you about blood at some point. Mine went all strange, as well, though admittedly not as strange as yours did.

I have yet to get another language, though that does seem to be cropping up lately.

Making sense and being useful are different things. In any case, the sword skills are useful enough, but the frost powers need work.

I've been trying to throw myself into my work just to distract myself. It's worked up to a point--they're making me take days off now. It's the problem with working for your family...they're more likely to notice when something isn't right.

You better hope yours stay relatively simple for as long as possible, even if they are distracting.

I have to wonder, but everything else seems pretty complete. If I didn't get the whole thing, it seems weird to have only a handful of things get forgotten.

So you didn't just magically know how to use it like some people here do...that's good, at least.

I got a belt I can't take off. It just appeared around my waist. I can make it vanish, but it's still there, if that makes sense.

I have yet to hear of anyone getting in trouble over something said on here (and my name has been kind of plastered everywhere, to boot) so I don't really mind, given this is a private connection :)

According to Aaron, one of the doctors on this network, my blood appears to be several days dead. As if it came from a dead body. Apparently that's the reason for my lowered body temperature, and possibly the fact that I can't each chocolate anymore :(
