WHERE: In Locke, at a pizza place and then movies which they might not talk all the way through, because How Rude.

[ Aria's as prompt as she ever is with appointments; a few hours after school ends, and a while before the movie starts, she goes to pick Soren up in Mara's car, which is old and red and has a dangling sailor moon equivalent figure where some people put air fresheners or fuzzy dice. She shoots off a text to Soren once there, and spends the intervening time tapping out messages to other people, rapid-fire, though she'll drop the phone back into her purse whenever he comes out.

Further confusing the issue of What Are We Doing Right Now, Aria actually dressed up, in that she is not in her typical jeans-and-some-shirt combination, but opted for a black knee-length skirt and a red-and-black striped blouse. ...And then a pair of worn-out neon-pink sneakers with bored marker doodles over them that match nothing at all ever why does she own these, so never mind that.

She'll wave whenever Soren reaches the car, leaning over to open the passenger door from the inside. ]

Hey! Don't look in the back seat, Mara says all the clutter is necessary and if I try to tidy it up she'll do something to me. Well, she didn't say that in as many words, but there were threats and eye rolls and I decided not to risk it.

[ Noting the nerves - or at least hearing the presumably teasing statement - Aria laughed. ]

I promise nothing's going to bite you inside! Probably.

[ She can't help herself. She goes to open the door to lead them into basically probably pizza planet from toy story because aria makes the best life choices. no one should ever let her plan a date. ]

I don't know if "probably" is sure enough for me when it comes to things biting me. [he's teasing though, of course. and then just pretty much stares at the inside of the place.]

Is that a bet or a promise or what? [ For SOME REASON there are always empty tables here. ...And the filled ones are mostly families with kids. Wow.

I'm not sure, but it's one of those. [somehow he hadn't thought they would be surrounded by kids. he should have known that 'sort of space themed' meant this but... yeah he's still kind of surprised. it does make him less nervous about the 'possibly messing up what could be his first ever date' part though so that's good. he is kind of looking around though like he's still wondering how he even got roped into this.]

Okay, okay. But you know, you're supposed to get through the entirety of a date before planning the next one.

[ It probably doesn't help that she sounds more amused than not, sliding into the booth and reaching over to open up a menu, apparently ignoring the other people around for the moment. ]

Also, I bet you can't, because this is the coolest place ever.

I kind of have to agree. Although I have never actually tried no-cheese pizza, I am willing to say I'd probably dislike it.

And I'm actually not really picky at all, it's just easy and good. But if you want something else, go for it.

It's pretty much just sauce-bread. Bread with an extra helping of sauce.

Nah, that's fine. Really all I normally get is, y'know, pepperoni, occasionally with stuff on top of that. ...I do try weird stuff sometimes, but there is not much weird you can do with pizza.
