Version 3.0
Have found this network because of a string of numbers that you cannot forget. Aside from being able to connect through standard electronic devices, number can establish connection by being punched into fax machines and on sheets of paper, as well as being scratched onto walls. Memory of number is usually accompanied by alteration: discovery of a new memory, item, or physical change. Network members have dubbed these "Echoes" or “Pulses”; will likely continue into foreseeable future. Network not visible to those without connection; observing civilians will see blank pages or device equivalent.
If skeptical about this, write network number on piece of paper. Will understand afterward.
Essential information:
Police once untrustworthy in past; suggest caution in future dealings. Conspiracy once present within police leadership to eliminate network members, led primarily by Detective Jason Sherman and Police Chief Simon Edwards. Small number of policemen are connected to network themselves, and not all were under Sherman's influence, but suggest you err on the side of caution. Corrupt police willing to execute teenagers (video evidence). Network members Raoul Light, Mikasa Bito and Candy Rodriguez disappeared recently, haven't been found since; general suspicion is that police were responsible. Additionally, police were using breed of dog with ability to detect Network members. Recommended you avoid these as well.

Thunder Corp working with police; appear to be furthering other goals of those who command Sherman and Edwards. Responsible for pink additive in water during summer.
Thunder and police working with alien known as Tiny; established contact with Tiny here; claimed to have controlled Earth in past and are now returning to repossess it. Tiny compared enemy forces to gardeners, us to rose thorns.

August 2nd: water tainted with pink fluid which induces laughing
August 18th: tainted water leaked to media; company forced to halt actions. Hacking of Thunder email accounts reveals Sage to be fraud; Thunder searching instead for something called “Target 1”.
September 15th: Water supply officially clean. Thunder denies responsibility.
September 21st: pink aurora reappears, accompanied by low buzzing sound heard only by members of network. Buzzing grows stronger with proximity to Tuning Towers. Civilians also undergo short periods of unfocused haziness and docility.
September 26th: Team follows captured vermedi to abandoned jail functioning as storage facility outside city. Discovers names of vermini and vermedi, as well as fact that creatures called Vermaxi also existed. Thought to be at least twelve feet tall. Report.

Yeah, they were called Destroyers. Apparently, they can be taken down by giant giant snake-bug things, which unfortunately doesn't exactly help out current situation.
