So this is really weird and I shouldn't believe it but the paper thing works so it's true I guess. Have any of you ever run into someone, had a vivid memory of them pointing a gun at you, and then gotten assigned to the same group project with them?

Should this worry me?

Thinking about it I could tell. You were shaking pretty bad. I'm not even sure you could have hit me like that.

[She lowers her head a little.]

[Those words. ...This feeling. Her head felt light, and she absently put a hand on her forehead, rubbing it gently. She'd heard them before, the same voice. Was this what they called de ja vu?]

Anyway, no need to make a big deal of it. One of us was probably somewhere we weren't supposed to be.

[He had the same memory at the same time as her. Was there anything more he remembered?]

Call me crazy, but I could almost swear we've had this conversation before. At least part of it. It might just be that I'm tired, though. You're sure you don't remember anything else?

Of that, not much. But... I feel like I knew your name before. I knew who you were. You didn't have to tell me your name because I already had it.

[She looks a bit surprised.]

Well, we're in the same class together. Although I doubt that's what you're getting at.

[All right, this was starting to get a bit creepy. The same initial memory, tied together through a mutual project, and now he talked about having felt he already knew her?]

No. Definitely not from class, it's something different.

Well supposedly they're memories from past lives so I guess we knew each other.

It was odd, it was like you wanted to be shot. Just the look, and the things you said. As if your life didn't matter at that point. It was... unnerving.

Yeah... I wasn't really planning on mentioning that part. There was a lot of despair on my end. And guilt. But I don't know what for.

Like you said, if we're going to figure out why we're suddenly getting these visions, then we have to be plain with each other. Do you remember anything else?

Yeah I've been doing Judo since I was three. I got to the intercollegiate semi-finals last year and then the Thrasher dislocated my shoulder and knocked me out of the competition.

[She blinks a few times, looking impressed.]

That's... I was not expecting that.

Guess I don't seem the type. I try to keep in good shape, Judo's one of the ways I do it. I go running a lot, that's what I was doing when we met in the woods.
