A QUESTION! What's Going On Here? [Text]

I'd ask if this was all some kind of weird joke or something, but it looks like people have beat me to that particular punch. Or is this some kind of online roleplaying thing? Maybe some kind of viral marketing thing for a movie? (If it is, whatever they did to get these freakin' numbers stuck in my head HAS to be illegal...)
