[She had been relaxing at home, a cup of green tea in one hand and a laptop propped in front of her when the numbers seemed to come full force at her again. It was easy to type them out, a quick string on her screen--and it changed things.

The first few things she sees are just messages. Questions and answers about these numbers from people she's never met. But she presses past it. There's something about a mine and wills and suddenly Leola is not sure what she's stumbled into.

Her typing is hesitant at first.]

Did I stumble into a forum? I suppose I could have picked up the numbers from one of my students and this is an elaborate joke. A marketing campaign for a movie maybe? It's clever though I'm not sure what I'm supposed to get from this. A movie about people trapped in mines or something? Isn't that a little off? Too soon?

And really subliminal messaging was proven to be impossible despite what fiction leads you to believe. So I'm not sure how I came by these numbers. Perhaps you could enlighten me. Or I suppose I could just ignore whatever this is.

Classes are out for the summer, I think I'd rather read than get sucked into some silly forum goose chase.

I know it sounds made-up and completely insane, but unfortunately this isn't advertising or a joke; it's reality.

Toushiro. I didn't take for one to be involved in things like this. Are you really sure?

[There, totally together now.] I'd think my involvement would prove at the very least it's not a joke. [The class doesn't seem to think he even has a sense of humour, since he's always got that serious look.

[The whole secrecy thing isn't sinking in quite yet]

It was after exams were over. [Not that he would have told you anyway.]

I still would have hoped...[Then she stops herself. She wouldn't have believed it without this overwhelming evidence would she? Thought perhaps he was sick or hallucinating]

No I suppose I understand. So...How long have you been on this...forum?

[Seriously. There are a lot of reactions people off-network could have to stuff like this. Not many of them are good.]

Since about the second week of April.

Two months. [She taps a finger gently on the keyboard, thinking over it] ...I saw the...[She makes a little noise] well you know.

Seems like a lot of information for such a short amount of time.

Yeah . . . that. [He hadn't watched the Paul Ben video all the way through. He'd seen well enough where that had been going and turned it off before he could see the shooting.]

Most of us are at least trying to make sense of it all.

It's an awful lot to force on one so young. It's uncertain how old everyone is here. Some adults type like children and children like adults. At least audio helps with that.

Are more people children or adults?

I'm handling it. [Smallest hint of annoyance in his voice there. Handling it better than some of the adults, thank you.]

Decent number of highschool kids, couple others around my age, but not many. [He'll spare telling you he's not the youngest.]

... There are some animals too, just so you know.

Animals. And kids. [She sounds...sad almost] Well that's something I never expected outside cartoons. Making children and animals responsible for this...whatever this is.

And I'm sure you're handling it very well Toushirou but you can't expect me to be happy about it. It shouldn't be your cross to bear.

A talking horse and two talking cats. [So yeah. Like cartoons. Or little kids' storybooks. Except there are murderous aliens who think you're all weeds.]

Nobody has to like it. But they need to accept it because I'm not going away.

Toushirou...just be careful. I know I can't stop you. Honestly I don't think you'll even be in my class next year so I don't exactly have any power over you.

But you know you can come to me if something happens.
