[It was just past noon in Germany when a call went out, the video revealing a young woman with black hair and uniform shifting uncomfortably in her seat. She looked to be in a break room of sorts. When she spoke she had a moderate French accent with a touch of German. It seemed English wasn't that strong.]

"Hello everyone... Um... My name is Celine Blanchefleur. I was advised to make this broadcast in English but I can speak French and German as well. I've been numbered for a short while now and I really don't know... anything. At all. Well much."

[She was extremely nervous, though not really distressed. Perhaps she just wasn't used to asking for help, or maybe it was simply the nature of the help she was requesting.] "I thought I might see if anyone can tell me anything. Or be willing to answer some of my questions. Honestly though I do not know what questions I'm supposed to ask. Or where to even start. This is all very new to me."

"Yes, fly." She flaps her wings, effortlessly rising into the air. "I've got strength beyond any human. You would be as light as a feather to me."

Oh right. Vampire strength. "Well... I... Umm..." She couldn't really think of another excuse. Well besides the truth anyway. "I'm not very fond of heights." She didn't think that Emilia would drop her. Heights in general were just scary.

"Oh? I'm quick on my feet, I can carry you if need be." Faster than most humans, as it turns out. Emi was always quick to make use of her powers.

"I... Erm..." She REALLY didn't want to fly... "Okay. But... Just go slow... and not too high. And please be careful. If we fall I will not survive."

If she's that set against it, she won't fly high, if at all. But there's one thing she'd like to point out.

"Go slow? That would defeat the purpose of carrying you to begin with! I'm sure you don't want to spend all night being carried to that cave near the castle..."

"Ghck..." She glanced away from the vampire. "Fine... Go whatever speed you need to..." She really REALLY didn't want to fly anywhere. "But if you drop me I swear I'll kill you."

"People have tried... Succeeded, mind you, but as you might guess, that wasn't the end of me. It was the end of my life, and the beginning of my unlife."

She takes hold of Celine firmly, taking to the air a little ways at the same time. Not too high, just enough to clear the trees and buildings...

It was impressive. How tightly Celine, a human, clung to Emilia. If the vampire were still living it likely would have squeezed the air from her lungs. Fortunately that was not the case and the vampire was in no danger of suffocating, though it probably would not be easy to speak.

What the heck, Emi was left wondering if the French girl had gotten back superhuman strength or something. But at least the trip doesn't take too long...

Soon enough, Emi lands at the mouth of the cave...

"...You can let go now."

In the end, the vampire was forced to pry off the human girl, carefully, of course... She didn't want to hurt her, after all!

And Celine did not let go, her eyes shut tightly, trembling a little bit. Even after her feet are set on the ground, the vampire had to pry the human's arms off. It was certainly impressive the strength a panicked human could muster.

It took a full two minutes for Celine to compose herself, her heartbeat finally starting to quiet. She didn't look directly at Emilia, more than a little embarrassed by her own behavior...

"Lets... Lets just go..."

"Honestly, I was never going to drop you. Especially since our fates are clearly entwined."

Once Celine had let go, it was a great deal easier for the vampire to speak, not to mention a great deal more comfortable without the dark haired woman clinging to her like a limpet.

"Follow me... And try not to trip. The teleporter is this way." She then enters the cave, expecting Celine to follow.

Celine obeyed without another word, taking another deep breath to steady herself, following Emilia into the cave... And just as quickly something bright lit up behind the vampire. Celine was using the LED flashlight on her phone and it was rather bright. Even for a human.

"I need to see where I'm stepping..."

The unfortunate vampire made the mistake of looking back at Celine, with the predictable results of her getting blinded by the obscenely bright light and stumbling backwards. "Ahh!"

She trips, and looks set to fall right on her backside.

Celine blinked, raising a hand rather pointlessly as Emilia fell. The fearsome vampire, ladies and gentlemen. Apparently realizing what had happened, she quickly directed the light downward, offering the startled woman a helping hand. "Sorry. I can't really see in the dark."

And Emi proceeds to turn the air blue with a few colourful phrases in her native language. Mostly directed at the light.

The disgruntled vampire soon pulls herself up off the ground, rubbing her butt and grumbling in Romanian.

"...Look, the teleporter isn't far. Just step on it and you'll be sent off to Locke."

A pause.

"Wait... This isn't the right place at all! Dracu!"

"Isn't far?" She turned that damn light up again and cast it ahead, looking around for some sort of sign of machinery or... well, anything really. "Wait... Not here? What?" She turned to the vampire, looking extremely confused. "I thought you knew where it was... Unless you're lying. You're not lying right?"

Her vision had adjusted by now, so she could at last see easily.

"I was... distracted. This is actually where Tupai lives." And the little horned bat with swan wings in question comes out of the darkness and lands on Emi's shoulder.

She moves quickly and moves to pick up Celine before she can react, dislodging her pet, who squeaks and follows her.

Further down from the cave, into the gorge, there was the sigil...

Celine just stared at the creature as it landed on Emilia's shoulder. She might have said something more but she was quickly scooped up, the woman shouting an objection as they took off once more, that unpleasant death grip returning as she hollered various expletives in French. She could get rather creative with them too when panicked enough.

Unfortunately she was squeezing Emilia's skull as much as her ribs this time. Tupai should probably stay back or it might get swatted out of the air.

Grabbing her head like that just made Emi try to go even faster, but on the bright side they will reach the sigil quickly, right? The little creature had some intelligence, or enough to stay back throughout the trip.

The first thing she'll do on landing is try to peel Celine off of her... again. But at least they are at the right place.

It was just as hard, if not harder to get the human off this time. She looked a lot more shaken than before, running a hand through her tousled black hair.

"Don't DO that!"

Next time, maybe turning into mist would be a better idea to get Celine off of her next time.

"Well, we're here. See that sigil?"

"Ah... Yes." A pause, looking around. "I expected machinery or something. Not just... Yeah..." She scratched her head, having calmed down a bit faster this time. "So how exactly does it work?"

"You just step onto it," Emi replied, taking Celine's hand and guiding her towards it. Basically, Emi wants her to go first, after which the vampire will follow.

"It's always kind of disorientating..."

"Alright..." Swallowing, Celine took a step forward onto the sigil, her entire body tensing in anticipation.

In an instant she was transported to another place, her mind filling with a strange sensation as she became more aware of the things around her... or aware in a new way? It was odd. Like a new layer of depth perception... Or, rather, a new understanding of something she wasn't even aware of before.

She stumbled forward and out, slipping to the floor. Her power was acting up again, chilly arcs of time's void shivering through the room, chewing on the corners of her mind. If Emilia stepped through quickly then she would feel them too.

From Emi's perspective, Celine had vanished with a flash of pink light. And naturally she anticipated that the waitress would get an echo from stepping through the teleporter for the first time...

Soon after Celine went through, Emilia, with her pet riding on her shoulder, followed Celine through.

"Ah!" And the vampire was immediately hit with the cold pulses of Celine's power...
