What: Fil dragging Liam off to Aaron's clinic in Locke to get him some REAL medical attention

[He has never met anyone so...utterly frustrating. It had been an adventure in itself, getting Liam off the mountain in one piece. (Fil was seriously thinking about getting a leash on the guy.) Then there was the short car ride to the teleporter in Vegas. (He hated driving these days, mostly on account of how he had to have cushions just so he could see over the dashboard). The teleporter, as much as he disliked that too, at least was working properly now and he was getting used to the sensation of going through it. The convenience of being able to travel so far so fast outweighed his past prior experience with it. Then it was followed by another, thankfully short drive to the clinic.

It was with a sigh of relief that he parks the car.]

"Getting drunk will certainly accomplish that."

She pulled up at a slightly seedy looking place.
"Here we go. Land of decisions to regret later."

She got out, striding in like she owned the place.

It looked perfect: close by, slightly disreputable, and willing to serve drinks.

He followed her lead, letting her choose the bar or a table. Aaron didn't have a preference, sitting next to her or across from her, respectively.

"So, you're a writer?" he began.

"That's my day job, yes," she said, getting drinks for the both of them, "Though I doubt you're one of my readers. You don't seem the romance novel type."

He smiled and shook his head. "It's not very likely," he admitted. "If I've got the time on my hands to read something new, I'm more likely to pick up a detective story or historical fiction. But I suppose I could give your books a try. What name do you write under?"

"Naishe Rivera. Liam picked one up from me once. Mostly because I told him it had a vegetarian dragon in it. And Julien bought some at my last signing," she explained.

He gave a short laugh -- of course that would be what got Liam to pick up one of those books.

"I suppose I should ask," Aaron said, "what, if anything, Julien has already told you about me. I may need to correct an impression."
