Oops.
Anyone know a good place to eat? Nothing too fancy, but I've got a date tonight, and the place I was thinking of taking her is closed. The sign doesn't say why. Looks like the tables all got moved to one side of the room.
I don't have a huge budget, and she doesn't like seafood, but apart from that we should be fine with whatever. Any ideas?

There's an excellent Indian place on Lincoln St. downtown. Not too expensive.

Aikawa's if you want Japanese. There are several non-seafood options, and the price isn't bad.

A date, huh? Congratulations! If you want to impress her but don't have a huge amount of money, then the best idea is to go somewhere with a lot of atmosphere. Particularly something warm and comfortable.
I personally really like a cafe called The Dish and the Spoon that's near the university. It's not too pricy but the food is great, and there's some pretty cozy seating, particularly in the corner.
